I suspect that there are "issues" with the various bids that are being discussed with the bidders to clarify their bid price, financing, payment dates, backers, etc. It is not a simple assessment process where there is one clear winning bid. There may also be a disagreement between the Melnyks and the NHL as to the preferred bidder due to their different objectives. Negotiations are likely going on to resolve their differences. It is not surprising to me that this is taking more time than many expected. The theories make sense. Most likely Steve A. is running away with the price and viability to pay but he’s not the NHL’s preferred guy.
Also, there could be disagreements between the Melnyks, his stooges, the bank, and the NHL. There are way too many parties to satisfy in this process.
What if this has all been a dream.
You wake up tomorrow and we just traded Mark Stone for Erik Brannstrom, Oscar Lindberg and a second-round pick.
I’m not confident that a deal is imminent, I didn’t think it would take this long.
Kyper is really well spoken here.
Basically telling Sens fans to calm down, if it’s his group or someone elses the sens are going to have a really strong owner.

Meh, it’s the only thing he can say. He’s not going to scrutinize the league or bank while trying to get an NHL team.
What are you talking about…all 4 bids are willing to sign on the line. They are literally fighting over it. These are binding bidsSens traditionally have always had a hard time getting anyone to sign on the doted line.
Looks like Melnyck passed along his business skills to his daughters

I mean.. it's complicated. This is a billion dollar transaction with a lot of moving parts.I’m not confident that a deal is imminent, I didn’t think it would take this long.

Thanks pops!
It's mostly up to BOG no?Yes I guess so. Integrity and cooperation come before money for me.
They could have easily just sold to Ryan Reynolds for 1 $billion and it’s be done by now but in classic Melnyck fashion they’ll do it the most chaotic and disfunctional way possible and end up with probably worse result, as their Dad did in business
If I had to guess, it had nothing to do with the BoG.It's mostly up to BOG no?
Ryans gang wanted to secure land deals first it's got nothing to do with "them"
NoAnyone else in a routine of getting up, checking this thread to see if there's any news, and then proceeding with their day?

another cheap shot at the former owner, and his daughters. That’s your thing, what are you going to do when the sale is completed?
anyways, the daughters are NOT handling this sale, they hired GSP to handle the sale.

defending rich entitled men is your thing and I gotta admit you do it well. Keep it up, they may throw you a timbit and call it charity
But to answer you r question 'what will I do when the sale is final' - I will be thankful the Melnycks don't control the team and hope the new owner's ego doesn't need the negative attention of the hockey world
