Let down for sure. Cant replace the opportunity he was bringing with a WtW type show.I give af, would have liked him as part of deal.

Staios has only been an advisor and never had any type of GM work in the past
This would be bad
I get someone being ambivalent about it but the hostility by some towards the possibility was bizarre.I give af, would have liked him as part of deal.
It's going to be hilarious to see everyone wishing Dorion back if he's replaced by Staios.
Remington really f'd this entire thing up, wish Reynolds chose another partner that doesn't have a history of doing this exact same thing before.
I also wish he would join a new bid, closing the door on joining any ownership group seems petty to me when he was so enthusiastic just a few months ago.
It's hard to think of another reason why RR would lock himself like that. Perhaps the Remington Group were willing to be the sugar daddy he said he needed. Maybe hoping that would help them win exclusive negotiating rights. Makes it sound now like the Remington group wasnt willing to make the blind bid like the others. The other bidders may only want him involved as a celebrity spokesman (like Snoop) rather than a significant equity investor.
Not a chance. This some tinfoil hat nonsense.Maybe the Melnyks and the NHL hired a PR company to make this a bigger story than it would be to bring notoriety to the league? Think about it, Reynolds, Snoop, The Weeknd, Russel Peters, Donovan Bailey? Has anyone ever had this type of interest in a professional sports team ever? I don't think Revnolds was ever really part of seriously taking over this team and he and Remington made up some dumb reason to pull out. This now looks like just a marketing campaign to prop up a league that is still not respected by the US media.
My “source” is out of the office for the long weekend, so I don’t want to bother/ask.
When I met up with him last week, he expected it would be Andlauer so that wouldn’t surprise me at all.
Martian is solid, I expect his source is either on the finance or HR side of things, as a lot of what he passes on is the sort of stuff I used to get.
Like they say, money talks and nobody walks. The other bidders may only want him involved as a celebrity spokesman (like Snoop) rather than a significant equity investor.
Ditto. A huge Hollywood star, apparently a salt of the earth guy. Only positive things.I give af, would have liked him as part of deal.
just googled this dude and saw dressed canadien jersey .... wtf ?
He could join if he wants.I give af, would have liked him as part of deal.

5 year old article on Andlauer's work with the Hamilton Bulldogs, solid read.
Opinion | Michael Andlauer was ‘the best thing to ever happen to hockey in Hamilton’
Sure, the Bulldogs’ owner is more a big kid who just loves his toy, but you’d never know it, Scott Radley writeswww.mykawartha.com
