Just to clarify, I am not criticizing anyone here, just expressing my opinion :-)

And I am all for Ryan Reynolds and the rich new owners taking over the team and making us the best NHL franchise ever!

I’d imagine whatever group wins will try to bring Reynolds in regardless. Imagine a Netflix series on the Ottawa Senators just like they did for his soccer team in England?

I know what you're saying, I just don't like the idea of "we're so lucky" attitude after he passed away. If he sold the team, then yes, by all means, but to me the bottom line is he died and I don't really see that as a positive thing. It's not like he was Charles Manson or Bin Laden. We can still talk about the facts, and one of them is that he also saved the team by buying it back in time. And, no, I was not his fan at all in the past 10 years, trust me. I don't know, maybe I am getting soft as I get older :-D

I know bert, it's just we are talking about someone's father here, who relatively recently has passed away. I had family members who were acting stupid and I still never said "it's a relief" when they died.
Just because he is someones father doesnt erase history or the people that he wronged. I wont willfully ignore it sorry. We can agree to dissagree.

Excited about the potential of new ownership.

It’s like a 2000 year old term referencing horses and the bit they put in their mouths when they are harnessed for a race.
Yeah. They chomp on the bit

Matthew Perry as well (most commonly known as Chandler from Friends). Ryan Gosling also spent years in Cornwall (close enough haha).
Yeah Matt party even through on some Sens merch on screen

Agree and agree to disagree

Have a good one, hopefully we win tonight and start a bit of a winning streak for the next 10 games.

Reynolds is repping Vanier, the man truly loves the city. I used to hate having to go to work there (social services)

I'm excited at just the idea of Ryan Reynolds being part of an ownership group. But I'm still conditioned to not expect nice things, even after the summer of Pierre! I need to work on that.

As much as i love Ryan Reynold if one of the other group has one of those Saudi multi billionaires who just want a sports team as a toy that they would put infinite cash into, i would much appreciate them to own the team LOL

Well it’s pretty well known that Reynolds and he said it himself would not be a majority owner as he doesn’t have the funds for it. So Reynold is actually attaching himself to one of those “multi billionaires” that your talking about.

I don’t even think I want him as the owner, he seems to make very rash decisions lol Melnyk-lite
read an article about a year ago about his management style. He as super user access to their email server. He will go in and remove meetings off people's calendars because it makes for good problem solving or some such crap.

Pretty sure the Terry Matthews number is a typo -- should be 1.69 billion.

Also believe the Shopify guy has taken quite a bit of a haircut down from the 11.86 billion number.
