I think Vegas could be dangerous as well,.. if they get in. Right now they are outside looking in. Looks like Eichel didn't have the effect they thought he would.
He seems to be having the same effect he had on Buffalo, but to be fair, Vegas is missing a few of their top players.

I woke up thrilled. We had friends over last night so had the game in the background. Obvious we were dominant

I and others said it many times. We had tons of cap space assets and it was clear we were going to add. So no one should have been judging the team before the deadline. We were winning with 4 ahlers in the top 12 most nights. Drury exceeded expectations and Copp and Vatrano were just such savvy moves than no one really saw coming. Brilliant.

We are ready for a deep run imo and we’ve got depth. Braun is a top 4 guy can barely get in the lineup.

We may get motte and Blais even potentially at some point. Trivigno may be an option. And then there’s the lingering maybe in Kravtsov.

We may need them all because I truly believe we’re going on a run.

Meanwhile, seeing Trotz and his team get destroyed and him throwing a stick onto the ice because he couldn't get the officials' attention because they didn't want to validate his hissy fit because his team gave up 6 goals, which is 8 more than he ever wants to give up in a game, you gotta love it.

He’s been a beast and just wait until he gets even a bit more physical
I certainly hope we see a few guys take another step in advancement in the playoffs like Chytil-Laf-KK-KAM-Schneider . If even 2-3 of them raise their physical play in the playoffs for the whole club . Those 5 guys are very key for how far we go in the run for 16 wins .

We are really gearing up for playoff hockey. Even though we clinched, I don't see any let up coming in the remaining 9 games. With guys battling for ice time, since they all want to be on the ice come playoffs. there will be more games like the one against OTT. With everyone giving it their all. The forecheck and taking the body has ramped up, simulating what it will be like at the dance.

This team couldn't be more prepared. When giving 110% we can forecheck and take the body better than any of them. Defensively, we have defended the middle with much more forethought. Clamping down on grade A chances and giving our goalies great support. This is key. Cause with fast teams like FLA and CAR, our forecheck won't be as effective. So we need to be very sound defensively as a 5 man unit, and get our chances off the transition. With the TDL, we are now deep with players who can step in when injuries arise. We are ready to make a run.

Was there tonight...domination, but they should dominate the Sens. Nice to see them crush teams they should.

1) Panarin
2) Captain Kreids
3) Prime Rib Sandwich
Yes....best post so far in the post game segment .....Sens are a lottery club and had a bunch out hurt . We needed to beat them . Say what you want but I think they are developing a scary team in Ottawa and will be a breath of fresh air in the Atlantic division . A couple of additions and they could play a role next season in deciding who makes the playoffs and who does not .

Our biggest hole is the 3rd line in any sane iteration. We have to win in spite of it for this year.
Just need them finsihing checks and focusing on things defensively ....take that pound of flesh over 60 minutes on the opposition defense...nothing fancy . Chytil would help . I think they will be ok in the playoffs...they are smart kids and Gallant will have them prepped .

There isn't a guy in the line up that will be gun shy come postseason. That's the nature of the beast. Even Kakko and Fox will take the body. Panarin too. That's just the way it is. It would be good they get their reps in early before the show, like Miller seems to be doing.

Finally released. MSG POST GAME SHOW HIGHLIGHTS AND COMMENTARY.

Glenn Anderson’s take on the Rangers playoff chances.

Hank is such a homer, I love it! LOL!

He says,...

He's so excited for the team, he wishes he was there!

They're back where they belong!

Teams are in for a surprise, the first couple of rounds in the playoffs.... LOL!

They're looking really strong.

Valley points out this is not a team backing into the playoffs. We lost only one game in regulation in the last 8. How you are playing going into the playoffs matters.

Just love the Boys at MSG.

Even John's inspirational phrases like,.. Instant memories and increasing magic is growing on me.

Have you noticed, everytime the Rangers are in control of a game, Miller gets the yeoman's minutes, giving Fox and Troubs a breather. He led all skaters again last night, with 22:52 of ice time. He continues to grow in using his size and strength to full effectiveness. He's been crushing people nightly the past month or so.

I guess with Troubs or Hunt we notice it more, maybe because they are smaller in stature? But Miller is beginning to lay Reavo size hits with regularity.

I can only guess why he hasn't shown this side of himself from the get go. Maybe because with more contact, there is more likely a chance of getting injured? And for a young guy, trying to learn the game, that can be hard to do nursing an injury. Maybe now he is better prepared to have a target on his back, which comes with being more aggressive.

I think there might have been a some tentativeness based off of intimidation. He's a young man, lanky and still filling out. But on the ice he's still the towering size that some experienced rough and tumble players will probably go after if they have an issue with what he did (with a hit etc)

But I think he sees he's got the supporting cast, and he is starting to hold his own when the game starts getting heavy. The confidence is growing and it's so great to watch.

I had doubts Kreids would reach 50 with 10 remaining, needing 3.

For years he has been known to be so streaky, where he'd go stretches in a season wearing a cloaking device.

He hasn't had not one bad stretch this entire year! He has never been so consistent as he has been this year. And now,... 50 goals is just a foregone conclusion. Simply incredible.

I'm amazed. This is Chris Kreider we are talking about. He's never scored 30 goals in his career. What a joy it is to witness this.

Not to mention making the playoffs, Shesty's Vezina Trophy season, and I don't know what else? First place in the Metro?

Certainly a season to remember. LGR!
It just shows what the right coach can do for a player! GG seems to be it!

This is just BS. The biggest proponents of buying were me, McRanger 92, Anthony5967 and Kovelev27. None of us said trade every prospect and pick. We said the team has holes, address the holes with all of that cap space that we have and will never have again. We all had three or four players/prospects that we pretty much agreed to be available. Drury far exceeded expectations, at least mine, in what he gave up in filling the needs of this team, which anyone with two eyes and a half of brain could see, to make a deep run. So, yes, this is what the “Buy Crowd” was indeed asking for and your attempt to lump a couple of posters with ridiculous proposals in is just revisionist history.

Drury retooled at the TDL in a way that really made me happy - I'm not smart enough to hand pick the same players he targeted/obtained but it's the result I wanted. We have as good of a chance as any team if everyone buys in, largely stays healthy and play within our new depth.

He is definitely in the running for coach of the year. I have praised him often. He has made so many moves, on who he dresses, on calling Timeouts, changing line combo's, and every move he has made has paid off. I've never seen such success with coaching decisions.

And to think I was not happy with him to start the season. Georgie in net, Kravtsov to Hartford, Captain, no Captain fiasco. I was just waiting for the other shoe to fall. What a turnaround this year has been. I have never been so wrong about a coach, as I have been with Gallant.

We’re still ranked 20th in MoneyPuck power rankings & we have the worst odds of any team in (and even some out of) the playoffs. Vegas who isn’t in a playoff spot is more than twice as likely to win the Stanley cup, than we are they say lmao. They say LA has over 9 times greater chance of winning the cup than we do.
