Yeah, that Hanifin pinch and feed to Nelson on the doorstep was nice, but Talbot saved twice; probably USA's best chance to that point .. Marchand makes it 2-0 as him and Ceci toyed with McCabe .. Fasching with a rebound chance, but can't get it past Talbot, to the PP.

Hearing Ferraro talk about Stone and Scheifele makes me feel all fuzzy inside. Hanifin is a remarkable player. Also, the give and go between Marchand and Ceci was magical. This is a good game.

Well, it should be Canada versus Finland in the Gold Medal Game tomorrow. The Canadians dominated the second half of the first period.
Brassard ( was it? ) had time and space...didn't need to send puck over glass...Panicked a bit...

USA played pretty darn well for most of that period. kept Canada to the outside for a lot of their chances, and a few bounces here and the game would be tied.
Overall pretty happy with the way Team USA played in spite of the lack of talent they have.
Makes you wonder what this team would have looked like with just an Eichel, Seth Jones, and Galchenyuk on this squad.
Kids are holding their own, down 2-0 but still a chance to get one back early on with the power play.

Just like Russia probably wins with Ovechkin in lineup? One player doesn't make a difference. Kane can easily be shut down.
The score is not doing justice to how well the US played that period overall. Talbot with some BIG saves, could easily be a tie game. Canada better tighten up that defence and have less giveaways if they want to have any chance against Finland (assuming they hold on for the win today)
