Goes to show when you pull the goalie so late it doesn't leave you many chances to score.

Glad Canada won. Though not happy with how they basically sat on the lead in the third and had barely any shots. Have to be better than this against Finland.

Credit to the US though. They basically had a skeleton crew, but they just barely missed out on getting to the gold medal game. Credit to them. Good luck against the Russians.

US outplayed Canada outside of the first period. If Canada plays like that against Finland it will be another 4-0 loss.

Great effort by Team USA. Can't do much about some of the bad breaks. PP goal happened cause of a deflection up high on Perry that eventually found its way to Brassard with an open net. Game could have gone either way. Thems the breaks sometimes. Should be a good game vs Russia tomorrow

Good game by the USA. Like Finland, they cycled enough along the edge of play to breakdown Canada's weaker than average defensive group.

since I am actually Spanish, grew up in DE and never rooted for any German national team, and picked the US, back 25 years ago when I played peewee in Frankfurt with some New England kids on my team, I must say - pretty proud of group. Man they really gave it all, and partially had it all, to compete ..

..us hockey will not look the same anymore in 5 years time. they are finally making it up there to the top, when a D team can compete at this level.

They were the only pair that wasn't a minus against Finland, and they were so solid again tonight.
