They don't hand out medals based on shots on net or possession.

The better team is the team that wins the game.

9 times out of 10, maybe Canada is the better team. But not today.

You must be the only one who believes this. In all sports media, “the better team lost” is used DAILY. I’m sure it appears on here during the regular season and playoffs upwards of 100 times.

Anyways, I fear I’m starting to look like something I’m not here. The Swiss took advantage of their opportunities and gave 110% all game long, and rode a hot goalie to a victory; it happens all the time. Good for them, and I sincerely wish them good luck against Sweden. I was simply responding initially to a post that called the Swiss the “better team” today, which I saw as blatantly incorrect.

I agree. This game was decided on goaltending. Such as it usually is when upsets happen.

Sucks for Canada but I'm happy for Swiss team. Hope they beat Sweden. Not holding my breath though.

They were never able to get too many odd-manes rush or pull a Swiss defender or forward out of the box in front of Genoni.

It was going to have to be some weird deflection or something because they didn't get too many open looks.
