Good enough game for Canada, slow start and some dangerous play by the Slovaks though. The line mixing worked today, but I think it would be a mistake to put Petan with McDavid and Lazar tomorrow. With Petan moved up there aren't any playmakers on the bottom lines. Spread the scoring around, at least at the beginning of the game. If they need to press, move Petan up.

Godla has been a bit better, but lacks the size Conz had.

I think this Slovak team is at least comparable. The Swiss had Nino, but Reway is fantastic in these tournaments.

Godla was registered for the tournament as being 5'11", while Conz in 2010 was listed at 5'10".

Comrie will be in net tomorrow if we intend to actually win gold, saying it now. Anyone with a memory span of over one year will agree.

The toronto crowd saluting Golda was great.

What an awesome moment for that kid.

Because in the last year Comrie hasn't had a bad game? Give me a break

Anyone concerned about goaltending tomorrow? I am....

I am a little, not because Fucale has looked bad or anything..but he really hasn't had to be great and Russia has some solid snipers. Plus they arguably have the best goalie in the tournament and they have a solid defensive structure. All that said..will be one hell of a game, Canada has lots of guys who seem to step up each game..so who's tomorrow's hero? My bet is on McDavid..kid has been better each game..could have had like 5-6 points tonight..and I have a feeling he's saving the best for last.

I'm certainly worried about goaltending but I'm more confident in Fucale over Comrie right now based on tournament play.

It's too late to change horses in mid stream. Fucale made a couple of great stops ( esp on that breakaway ) in the first. SVK coulda been leading 2-1 after the first...EASILY

Big game, I'll be you we lose if he's our starter. I want the best players playing that are available, I wouldn't say play Comrie so serious if I didn't see Facale last year.

All my Vbookie points!!!

Or - bare with me here - important games and good home team hockey makes people want to cheer.

And reaSonably priced seats allow for the fans who always wanted to go to a good game actually buy a ticket. You know, the "real" fans.

Not really a question of IF...Barring injury, or something TOTALLY unforeseen, he WILL be the starter

Personally, I like Comrie. He looked more confident in the net than Fucale has this whole tournament. And has played the most difficult opponent thus far. But with only one tournament game under Comrie'is belt, I think the coach will stay with Fucale.

Well I expect the Russians to play their best and if Petan and McDavid didn't play today this game I think it would have gone to OT.

Just don't want to lose, and I don't need to wait for the loss to examine why it went wrong again, when the weakness are right in front of some of our eyes. -everything is speculative of course-
