Why? I have seen at least two penalties on sweden called by the canadian ref.

And Canada, as we all know, hates IKEA because it has put economic pressure on our own furniture box stores so it’s easy to see why he hates Sweden.

Absolutely not. Sweden lost their best player on a boarderline hit. Russia goes and makes a worse hit and only gets 2 and 10. Its been BS all game.

It was a hit to the head. According to IIHF rules no hits to the head.

The refs hasnt a good day, perhaps only one bad penalty, but luckily for the game Russia didnt score on it!

Refs need to adapt to the game pace and importance and let the players on ice decide the outcome, you only need to take the really obvious ones, its a semifinal in the worlds!

Russia is nearly doubling them in shots and they are only in the game because Askarov has been terrible.

Shots are 16-7 so yes double but hardly 40-20.

You can find questionable calls in every game. I'm a neutral fan and i don't really think the refs have been biased at all. They should stop complaining about the penalties and stop the dumb slashes and hits and not give the refs a chance to call a penalty.

That hipcheck penalty was bad but I’m never going to complain about refs calling actual penalties. Not every game has to have an even amount of penalties, teams are not equally disciplined.

Of course it does. But the Russians have gotten better quality chances 5 on 5 as well, in my opinion. The score is 3-3, nevertheless. The Swedes should have a psychological advantage at the moment.

They gave the Khovanov 2 minutes and a 10 for a head shot. It should have been 5 minutes and a game misconduct as well. Then they gave Broberg 2 minutes for a legal hip check. There were also some other calls that were pretty weak calls. That is on the refs.
