The problem with firing McDermott is *gestures wildly at the Sabres* the thought of the Pegulas conducting a head coach search.
Gotta think it would be Beane's coaching search, with Pegula having a small say.

I said the same thing. It’s terrifyingThe dream and just about the only option that excites me right now.

Maybe appreciate that being .500 12 games in with an extremely tough first place schedule feels like a disaster. It’s constant misery fellas. Both of these organizations. It’s always been this way and always will be.
McD shits his pants in close games. Why do the Bills always seem to lose these types of crazy games? We're always on the shit end of the stick. I'm absolutely gutted right now.

Agree to disagree. I want a championship.Maybe appreciate that being .500 12 games in with an extremely tough first place schedule feels like a disaster.
Quite something to call 37-12 over the past 3 seasons "constant misery", regardless of how the playoffs turned out. I've gotten a lot of joy over the last 4-5 seasons of football.
Frankly even in the Bills state (where we're starving for a championship) I'd rather be competitive and in the playoffs more often than not than win a championship 1 year and then be awful for years at a time. Not that Buffalo's lucky enough to go on a fluky run like that anyway.
Well then consider that being competitive over a long period of time is BY FAR the best way to win a championship. It's just a fact that it takes an extraordinary amount of luck (injuries, officiating in close games, idiot kickers putting the ball through the uprights, etc.) to win a championship no matter where you end up seeded in the tournament.Agree to disagree. I want a championship.
I want to win. Harbaugh wins. I don't really care how he gets it done.I think any of you that say you want Harbaugh either (a) have wildly different ideas of what kind of offense you want than me; or (b) don't know much about Harbaugh's offensive philosophies.
McDermott plays the softest coverage in these situations. It lets the other team move down the field seemingly at will. 0-6 in OT for McDermott isn’t an accident. Why do the Bills always seem to lose these types of crazy games? We're always on the shit end of the stick. I'm absolutely gutted right now.

I think he's 1-7 in OT games. We had that OT snow game against the Colts in 2017 when McCoy broke that big run.Anyone know McDermotts record in OT games? One score games?
I saw Josh Allen is 0-6 in OT games
You’ll recall that was a Nate Peterman/Joe Webb experienceI think he's 1-7 in OT games. We had that OT snow game against the Colts in 2017 when McCoy broke that big run.
I wonder if Beane survives the team missing the playoffs, assuming McDermott is gone either way. He and McDermott just seem so tied together. And he hasn't exactly killed it in the draft in his tenure.Gotta think it would be Beane's coaching search, with Pegula having a small say.
McDermott won his only OT game with Buffalo that Allen wasn't QB for. (13-7 over the Colts in the winter wonderland game)Anyone know McDermotts record in OT games? One score games?

It happens pretty often that a GM stays after the HC fired. I'm pretty sure Howie Roseman was a Reid guy & he still fired him. Roseman is also on his 4th HC.I wonder if Beane survives the team missing the playoffs, assuming McDermott is gone either way. He and McDermott just seem so tied together. I think the Allen pick gives him one extra lifeI wonder if Beane survives the team missing the playoffs, assuming McDermott is gone either way. He and McDermott just seem so tied together. And he hasn't exactly killed it in the draft in his tenure.

I wouldn’t fire Beane yet.I wonder if Beane survives the team missing the playoffs, assuming McDermott is gone either way. He and McDermott just seem so tied together. And he hasn't exactly killed it in the draft in his tenure.
A special night indeed

McDermott won’t be fired this year. He could lose out and he won’t be fired. These failures will finally put him on the hot seat next year. Then all bets are off.Don't assume that McD is gone at the end of the year. You'll only be set up for disappointment.
I can't imagine that Beane's seat is hot in any way shape or form.
