I don't get this cowardice talk, is he a perfect coach, no, does he make mistakes, yes, just like every coach.

In the same lens, Sirianni is a coward too as he made the call to kneel it before halftime down by 10.
When the going gets tough he always turtles into his worst instincts. And every single one of them is to play afraid.

Because he is an absolute 100% coward

McDermott's got that dog in him! :sarcasm:

McDermott doesn't seem to grasp the mindset required to win. He's built a great culture, but when the pressure is at its highest, he over thinks it... Gotta know when to go with your gut and be willing to lose playing to your strength rather than trying not to lose at all cost.

He was exactly the coach we needed to rebuild... But he's not the coach to take us over the top.

it's time for Beane to make a change (offseason, as soon as the year ends)

The deflection is strong. But cool, so he sometimes has bad instincts, doesn't make him a coward. If that pass before end of regulation is picked off or the receiver/Allen fumbles then you are going to go to the mat for McDermott because he was so incredibly brave to push the ball down the field and go for a low percentage kill shot?

Anyone think Jim Harbaugh is still fine enough with the cold to come to Buffalo?
Rather sit on a cactus

Of course he isn't. He's throwing daggers all the same. We all know this.

He criticized the zero blitz against Denver too.

If it didn't work, iT mUsT hAvE bEeN cOaChInG mAlPrAcTiCe! (ok, that's probably too big a word for ace)

The timeout wasting has me infuriated. A lot of things killed usbut Thats really the only thing about this game we can control that killed us. 20 seconds and 2 timeouts and we could get into field goal range. We know it’s possible. I was flipping out

This is your Sean McDermott Bills in an important game. Year doesn’t matter.

He’s definitely a part of it right now. Plenty of blame to go around

That was a bizarre use of the 2nd timeout. Agreed. I was confused at the time…maybe there was a reason like 12 men on the field?

I overall didn't like the time management in the 4th quarter. They should have gone fast on their TD drive instead of slow - they weren't in the position to run the clock down to where Philly would feel huge time pressure to kick a field goal. Leave time to answer...and then that spiraled into the timeout on the FG which was just wrong (unless there was a penalty-related reason for it).

But probably 80% of a coaches' work is done during the week. f*** if I'm going to want to dump one of the most successful coaches in Bills history (believe he still has the best winning % of any coach) because of it. It's not like they didn't have plenty of chances to still win the game.

Good franchises don't fire coaches over one bad year. Period. ESPECIALLY when the underlying stats are so good and losses have been historically assigned to more luck than anything else by analysts. IF we miss the playoffs we'll come back next year with a 2nd place schedule and I am fully confident we'll be right back in the hunt, as long as the fanbase doesn't stir up any stupid ass drama over Diggs/Allen/et al.

Why? He an offensive coach who knows how to win. He's gotten further than McDermott in a much shorter time span with an inferior offense.

If it's the sign stealing stuff, I guess that's an agree to disagree. Because I just don't care at all.
If by "offensive coach" you mean regressive old school ground and pound type. Did you enjoy the Greg Roman Ravens? That's what you'd be signing up for. (In fact I guarantee you he brings Roman as his OC)

I wouldn’t say McD is necessarily cowardly as much as he’s a bit behind the times and way too confident in things he shouldn’t be confident in

It’s constant misery fellas. Both of these organizations. It’s always been this way and always will be.
