Maurice sounded done. Honestly I wonder if the season away from his family has done some damage to him. Seriously. Looks like a broken man.

Real men...

Well Maurice sounded spent. Hopefully he's doing OK mentally and just needs to recharge. In favor of a new voice for the team but I hope everyone is doing OK after what had to have been a real challenging year with even tighter restrictions then most of us

I know I've struggled at times with mental health through this.

This team needs to find a couple of forwards that will go thru brick walls, show some intensity, finish your checks, Thompson and Lewis better days are long gone and a guy like Gus could of done the same or better that Nate, sorry buddy you'll be "feelin it" somewhere else next year

The question made complete sense. In essence, the reporter was asking why the Jets rely on super human goaltending to win (clearly not sustainable)

I don't think I'd give an answer right now either. Honestly just got swept in embarassing fashion... I wouldn't even want to face the media right now nevermind being grilled about things like this not even 15 minutes later. Isn't there a year end PC?

He's played with crap pretty much exclusively the last two years against top competition. Honestly what do you expect his performance to look like given the situation he's been put in?

Look at how shitty Wheeler and Conner look when you put a bottom 6 center in between them for instance.

No Jet player has been put in a worse spot over the last few years. When played with a competent partner like DeMelo he's capable of playing at an extremely high level as we just saw two weeks ago.

He can't carry crap on his pairing but neither can 90% of dmen in this league.

It's simple with him and with most players in this league and you need to put them positions to succeed.

We have so rarely done that with Morrissey the last few seasons. He's been put in none stop positions to fail so why are people surprised when he's struggling.

I don't know man I just was something a bit more from our signed long term big money d-man. A guy with a contract like that should atleast be able to contribute more regardless of d-partners, look at Pionk, he had crap all season in terms of partners as well and faced tougher minutes during the regular season but was markedly better. Even Trouba has stabilized. At some point we are gonna need more from out top d-man if we expect to do anything and right now I am worried we won't. I am not expecting him to be prime Erik Karlsson but the Jets are going nowhere if he's like he was this season with that contract.

Yeah why not sub in Gus for Nate? Strong, defensively responsible, upside and can’t see how he’d have been worse.

Players like Gus and Harkins were prime taxi-squad material this year who could have made a difference on a tired, dejected team. But the default is always to experience, safety, trustworthiness, even when those admirable qualities tilt the ice the wrong way.

I’d have been fine losing this series had it been a hard-fought contest, chess match even. Not like this tho. Blech.

The real injury news should come out in a few days. And by no means am I saying that excuses the play this series overall by the Jets. I want to know what was wrong with PLD. He moved, looked and played completely different from when he was first cleared from protocol to how he looked the end of season. Very important piece moving forward

Apparently the Habs are never going to lose again and they match up well with the Avs, according to their main board fans.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Habs are swept next series, in a similar fashion to how they just swept the Jets.

When he played with Demelo he was much better. Don't think ppl really get how bad poolman is or Beaulieu and these are the guys 44 has been stuck with. You put him with a semi capable guy in Demelo and Josh looked good again.

Not a f***ing chance in hell.
You don't pledge loyalty to House Habs? The North is marching on King's Landing, we need all the great houses of the North to unite to win the war. But suit yourself you can fight the White Walker's instead :snide:

... And now it's the only Canadian team alive, so let's do our patriotic duty and cheer for them :whatever:

I cheered on Team Canada as they went on to win the Gold at the Worlds on Sunday. I've already fulfilled my patriotic duty!

New Years Eve, 1975, Soviet Central Red Army vs. The Habs. I couldn't cheer for those stinkin' Commies. But I could't bring myself to cheer for the Habs, either!☭:sarcasm: (thank god the game ended in a 3-3 tie!)

Being swept by those d-bags tonight makes me wanna try this thing called "alcohol". I've heard good things!

Hopefully the Jets can score a top pairing Dman for next season.

Go Jets Go!!!

See everyone next season.

I'm out before all the "Jet's Fans" who only come out after devastating lossesinvade the PGT bitching about Maurice, Chevy, Wheeler, Connor, The water boy,....
Yes, because the only way to be a real “Jets fan” is to never criticize your team. Sunshine and lollipops is the true measure of fandom.

50 bucks says that Maurice mentions that he liked parts of our game tonight.
100 bucks says he mentions that he liked our effort.
200 bucks that he briefly flashes pictures of Chevy from his pocket…just as insurance.
You forgot about the process and how its coming along
