i had to refrain from posting until the sadness and disbelief abated. got pretty emotional after that debacle.
where to start? coach that's where. not because he's a moron, obviously he's intelligent, but because if ever a new voice was needed it's now. after the oiler sweep, i momentarily believed in maurice. but it was the usual 1 step forward and 2 back with him. i personally had him gone a couple years ago. just too many examples of him not changing things when the selected course wasnt working. "i don't even coach those guys". who says that?! i stopped watching his pressers long ago but if it's true what some of you say; that he looks demoralized, then we can only hope he steps down. i have my doubts
the org will fire him when he absolutely should be fired. if the org can't recognize this, then they quite simply dont share the same desire to win as the fans do.
i don't know what they're going to do with wheeler. his salary will handicap chevy when it comes to getting legit dmen. and his play will increasingly handicap the team as he continues to age out. i have it on good authority that wheeler is not a good cappy off the ice. started his bullshit back in buff's last season. i wont elaborate on here about this. suffice to say wheels developed a bit of a god complex and buff didnt care for it. it's for sure part of the reason buff pulled the pin. this wont come as a surprise to some as these kinds of issues have been mentioned before on this board. i realize wheeler is practically unmovable but they need to try and move on from him. if they can't, then they need to start minimizing his role and his minutes. adam lowry should be the captain of this team.
i'm still on chevy's side but not for much longer. if this team isnt a serious contender in another couple years he needs to go as well.
