New Jersey fans have a special kind of dislike for the Leafs I find. Yeah we aren't well liked but compared to a team board like the Rangers there's less animosity there than on NJ's board.
I think it's holdovers from those early 2000's playoffs.
Yay insurance
Under 20 years old, right?
Anyone see Lou's face after that goal? Never seen a GM so happy after being scored on while losing the game.
If we end up at 30th place, what are the chances, that we will not have a pick in top 3?

The few times i went to Buffalo were my favorites as you get a lot of the real Leaf fans come out and sell out half the building that vould be ehy i found it quite louder in there. Now playoffs at the ACC are fantastic

No actually double that number.

I don't know if it's that. It's more monkey see monkey do. They just do it because everyone else is doing it and don't ask why. It's kind of cute to see teams we have no history with like Anaheim or San Jose get all bothered when we play them.
You can't blame Canadian regionalism or "HNIC used to be Leafcentric" if you come from some of those markets.
In the end it only produces more attention on every single thing going on with us. If you really want the Leafs to go away just ignore us.
I have always gotten that same vibe from Rangers fans as wellIt definitely is. Whenever I go to the Rangers board, there actually seems to be a bit of a mutual respect between us and the Rangers. We both know how it feels like to be a big market hated on by everyone with a massive inferiority complex and we definitely both know what ridiculously long cup droughts feel like, so theres a lot of "hey, I know that feel" between the 2 fanbases.

But yeah, we faced the Devils, what, 3 times between 98-02? Hell, look at how much Isles fans hate us and that was just one ****ing series lol.
