Swing and a missGetting a 1st for Walker is a fantastic deal. All those overreacting in the other thread sure look stupid now.
I was not as insistent on a first as others, so I'm probably less happy than most of us.
Do you think that the Flyers would know that? It’s a better draft

No one has seen anything about Johansen retention, right?
(Other than the 4m from Nashville)
If Colorado are in bottom 10 territory next year, something has gone horribly wrong. Nateand Makar is enough to keep them well away from that alone.Hate the protected first bullshit though
The problem here is that they didn't get a first for just Walker as you framed it.I fail to see the problem here. We have cap space, Walker was likely returning a 2nd at best. Getting another first is a huge win.
If we can somehow fleece someone for another 1st for Laughton, we're cooking on gas.
in the end its not huge..what are the chances it would have been in the top 10 anywayHate the protected first bullshit though
If Colorado only paid a first to unload Johansen & acquire Walker that’s a really good trade for them.
You essentially traded a first instead of a second to ditch Johnasen’s contract which could have prevented some flexibility this summer & next deadline as a contender.

There would probably be a decent market for Ceci, especially if they retained. What is different about this than the Ceci + 1st deal everyone wanted?
It’s a better draft
not yet...there is still time for them to bring him back for stupid money in the summerColorado sure got a good deal
But our real victory is that we didn't re-sign Walker to a large contract.
