RHP and Ylonen are definitely in my top 12.

Pitlick starts in Laval.

Hoffman and Armia either start in Laval or the pressbox.

Pez starts in the pressbox.

And Heineman is in mine for sure also....

There's too much people that's for sure, there's also a limit of player you can carry.....too much players!

How can you say this doesn't have any upside for Monahan? I'm sure he has been promised that, if healthy, he will be actively shopped at the deadline giving him a solid chance to chase a Stanley Cup.
Yeah, and he is playing for a guy that is the most opposite of Sutter in the league.

I'm pretty sure MSL will lose the locker room if he put 2 vets in the pressbox to start the season. Sadly, is going to be Ylonen, Pez and maybe Armia/RHP to start the season.

Yahoo!!! We got ourselves a multiple 60+ point center, one that even got 82 points once! Obviously he has red flags, but who cares about that :sarcasm:

That sure sounds like they're getting out of the Dubois sweepstakes
Why? They can both easily fill out the wings on the top 6.

Dubois-Suzuki-CC
Slaf-Dach-Monahan

Who else do we have as offensively skilled options?

I don't have a feeling Hoffman and Armia are the type of vets that have a lot of weight in the Habs room, might not be as bad as you think.
Still very early to put 2 vets for Ylonen. I could understand for Armia. But it will be harder to put Hoffman in the press box, when he finished in the top 4 in pts with the Habs lol.

Seriously, how bad are our forward group when Hoffman finish in the top 5 in points.....

That's great news! Adding a healthy Monahan would be great for guys like Slaf/RHP/Roy that'll be lower in the lineup. Plus, he could finally fetch us that additional 1st round pick at the deadline lol.

I know it's not super connected, but you'd have to imagine this move slightly lowers our odds at making a move for PLD.
Nobody said anything about healthy;)

Hopefully the new physio department actually has Monahan doing some preventative rehab on a regular basis, given his wonky hips and groin muscles. If he can actually prevent a recurrence of those injuries, he could undergo a rebirth as a Hab. He's got the skill and size.

Lots of core strength exercises,
Lots of stretching,
And lots of yoga.

Under 2m make a lot of sense. Good singing

And no it change nothing for PLD since we needed someone on as 3rd C If we trade Dvorak to Winnipeg
Habs need so many jerseys filled… Dvorak Evans are office potted plants for starters. I’m sure pld could push Pezz or Armia out of the lineup too…

I really liked Monahan the bit he played; these kids need skilled vets on short contracts to lern the game from. He‘s cheap too!

Broken foot followed by a groin injury during rehab that didn't seems to want to heal.
Feels like a 'screw it Sean, season is a gonner, rest and heal, we'll talk contract this summer'... i'm fine with that if all he needed is some time to get right.

This is the test season. Make or break. Either we got a great healthy veteran for a pitance or we got a great veteran that wont play 1/2 the season but will bring value for the youngins.

Healthy and on a mission, could be a late 1st at tdl. I love how he plays, I certainly see him scoring a winning goal in the playoffs on a deep team.

The lineup is starting to take form.

But we're overflowing with players.

Caufield - Suzuki - Monahan/Dvo
RHP - Dach - Anderson
Slaf - Monahan/Dvo - _________
Gallagher - Evans - Ylonen
Pez, Pitlick, Hoffman, Armia, Belzile, Gurianov
Heineman, Beck, Roy?

Guhle - Savard
Matheson - Barron
Xhekaj - Harris
Edmundson, Kovacevic, Wideman

Montembault
Allen
Primeau

Definitely more moves coming...

Top 3 in points the previous season and top 4 in points this season. Both season combined The Hoff is our 3rd most productive forward behind Suzuki and Caufield.

Lots of slackers in this team.

Hold your nose and play him with linemates who will mask his defensive deficiencies while setting up his shot. He's got a laser. He's got his warts, but there are worse boat-anchors than him on the team.

I hope we can move Hoffman for Mantha.

Though that's probably because I hardly watched Mantha in Washington.

I like this contract. There is no risk. If he's healthy, and the Habs are sellers, he can be traded at the deadline. They also need guys like him so they aren't forced to rush their younger players.
