Prospect Info: Sean Farrell, C/LW, 124th Overall

A lot of passion, anger, flying insults, and hurt feeling used to argue a completely theoretical question with an unknowable answer and no actual real world implications.

everyone talks about this guy as he is some next coming of Richer. take one look at the top two on Harvard and I take Alex Laferriere in a swap straight up. Now take a look at the coyotes board, and see if anyone even cares about Laferriere. In other words, relax on this prospect he has a long way to go to crack into an NHL lineup.

Arizona fans though. They don't have same passion for the game our fans have

my point is, Harvard is a decent team - but these numbers are nothing great... these prospects are sooooo far down the list that they are negligible. reduced to "box score" eye test.
if Im looking at stats only - yes of course you take the bigger guy with better scoring (which Laferriere clearly is) unless NHL teams nowadays are on the lookout for 5'9" set up guys?

Farrell is literally 4th in the entire NCAA in pts/game.

i never said he wasnt good - just that a 5'9" winger is hardly a player we can look forward to (not named CC). We already have our CC - no room for more.. I imagine Hugo will trade him for a D prospect when the time is right.
In other words, don;t get too attached gents... he really doesn;t fit on our roster.

Laferriere is a Kings prospect. He's a good prospect too. Just doesn't have the same international exposure as Farrell who did quite well at the WC and Olympics for the U.S.

Wjc, WC and olympics chose farrel over Laferriere.
what we really need is a line of Mesar, Farrel and CC. with Hutson on the point! I'll call Oleg and Saku to draw something up

like I said - i'd trade straight up blind.

They need to send Pezzetta down. That experiment has run its course. I don't see anyone grabbing him at this point.

Yeah who cares about talent, right?

Since you decided he ‘’really’’ doesn’t fit our roster.

Talent, what’s that? More Anderson please!

If you look at this screenshot, that shows Farrell still out-producing this player.. you'd notice that you'd be an idiot not to trade Farrell for Lafferiere!!

I don't know who would ever call Farrell the next Richer either lol.. nobody thinks Farrell is a one dimensional sniper.

Guaranteed this guy has never seen Farrell play to know about all the other elements to his game which make him such a highly regarded prospect and why he represented and played big minutes/situations for the USA in the Olympics and World Championships.

Just wanted to point out that Richer was not a one dimensions sniper.

Yes, he could snipe it, but he could also power it by you, and he had the hands to finesse it by you on a breakaway too.

He was an all tool goal scoring threat.

Anyways, I digress.

Farrell is pretty legit I think. He is playing with (and better than) Coronato who followed the exact same path and was a 13th overall pick (he is a year younger... but also in his 2nd year).

I don't think that hit deserved a penalty. He made it look a lot worse than it was. He saw it coming and turned

Wrong thread

This is disingenuous... you lre saying farrell is better in the lineup than Andy?

That’s why you’re not the GM. Trading your best forward prospect ‘’straigth up blind’’ while having not seen him play even a minute lol.
He's not our best forward prospect.. cmon man..
Great player no doubt.. just not suitable for our rebuild.

Yeah i hear good things aboyt him... hopefully we can get an equal D prospect back in value.

Just not suitable for our rebuilt? Lol how? Because we already one tiny foward in Caufield and can't have 2? He couldn't have a better learning curve, he plays the right way and dominated everywhere he went... Talk about a dinosaur mentality,

How many times have you watched him? I have been watching him for 2 years, he is absolutely the best forward prospect the habs have.

And yes he’ll be better than Anderson, pretty easily. Being big doesn’t give you a brain, you know?

Farrell also was at the Olympics and the World Championship last year for USA. He had 12 pts in 14 GP total.

He's also the second player in modern USHL history to have a 100+ point season. And if you look at USHL's entire history, he's 7th all time in scoring.

He's currently 4th in PPG in the entire NCAA with 1.47 PPG.

OK you are obviously just trolling... maybe try somewhere else... This is the Sean Farrell thread at least watch him play if you are going to comment

There’s plenty of room in our line up for Farrell with Caufield in it. Plenty of teams have won cups with multiple key players in their Top-9 that would be considered undersized.

I’d agree we don’t want to end up with any more, as it is a disadvantage in most cases.

I’d rather Sean Farrell in the line up today than Joel Armia, and it’s not close.
