Even this year, near the end of the season like Harris didYes hes playing nhl next year

Farrell could join Habs this spring, like Caufield and Harris did few years ago, right ? And Struble to Rocket Laval this spring as well ?
That third wheel should be Heineman. A bigger&faster Lekhonen defensively responsible enough to play against any line. Mature hard working kid with a Patch like stance and shot... These 3 together is a coach dream third line imoThey'll need a good 3rd wheel. What made Danault Gallay Tatar great was that all 3 were in their prime and were good players and complemented each other well.
Maybe Skaf. Mesar is too small, given Farrell's height. I'm not sure Heineman has the puck skills. Maybe Joshua Roy, if he can improve his speed.
His value is high now, I would trade him for a strong goalie prospect, if the opportunity arises.
We'll need a goalie way more than we'll need a middle-six winger.

Yeah and we'll have no other prospect who has top 6 potential, good idea.
I wouldn't sell Farell short so quickly, he's smart, skilled and motivated, probably better then half of our current forwards (I know it's not saying much).
I'm not selling him short, but we need a great young goalie more than we need a forward like him.
Maybe Mesar, Beck i doubt he'll be a top 6C even if he is good. Farrell is better than all 3, better than Roy by a lot.Nonsense. Joshua Roy, Filip Mesar, and even Owen Beck all have Top 6 potential, not to mention the possibility of adding another forward in the 1st round of the 2023 draft.

He's habs best prospect after Hutson right now.
Hutson is the best defenceman in college right now, might win the hobey baker as a freshman (Farrell was a nominee last year and might be this year too).I don't have either of them in my Top 4. We just see things differently.
How do his stats compare to Johnny Gaudreau's in the NCAA?I can easily see Sean Farrell become a top 6 player in NHL, his hands, skating ability, hockey IQ, shoot are all great to me. Caufield and Farrell on same PP? That would be truly dangerous. Amazing pick by Habs!
Not the same level i think but Gaudreau got to play in a better program, Boston University are known for hockey, not Harvard’s case. How do his stats compare to Johnny Gaudreau's in the NCAA?

Just to note that Farrell played his first NCAA season at 19 years old because of covid.

So basically, Gaudreau nearly doubled Farrell's production during their respective 20 year old seasons: Farrell 28 points in 24 games (1.17 points per game), Gaudreau 80 points in 40 games (2 points per game).
And then when Gaudreau was 21 (which Farrell is now) he put up 64 points in 80 NHL games.
Also, Farrell is a November birth so he just missed the september cutoff to be drafted the year he turned 18. Whereas Gaudreau is an August birth, so he just made it. So even in their respective D+1 year, Farrell is already a year older (10 months). So in the years you're comparing, Farrell is basically 2 years older than Gaudreau was. They have similar production their 1st year in the NCAA, and might be similar for their 2nd year too if Farrell gets a little more crazy this season
but yes, basically Farrell had to play another year in the USHL during covid and do his Harvard classes online so he arrived a year older in the NCAA compared to Gaudreau.

A Gaudreau comparison isn’t fair anyway haha!
We can’t expect him to become that but he’s gonna be amazing.
