Clearly he isn’t a core player and his contract indicates that. I thought he might add an offensive spark to the third line and second unit pp so I was happy with the signing. If it was clear he wasn’t going to be playing almost full time (which it seemed clear that was the case) maybe it was a “we’ll do you a solid and move you close by, to a team you have had a good history with.” - type deal? Maybe a win-win, part as friends deal.
