Nobody with half a brain doesKakko was a useful player at an affordable price. I still don't understand this trade.

I must be a sadist because I'm planning on watching this shit show tonight
Drury needs to make playoffs to save his job imo
Well it depends. Does @Shesterkybomb have a significant other and do they have to be there in the vicinity while he goes off the rails while watching the game. Then he might be a sadist...from a certain point of view.

That is true. Or if he likes making other people suffer through the game for his enjoyment.Well it depends. cause the National is a development lig. Get serious.
he's trying to say that as a vocal proponent of the idea that any lack of success Kakko had while here was the fault of the player exclusively (and not the team), any success the player has on the new team is evidence that the player either A. was not trying hard enough on the Rangers, or B. required the trade to find the motivation to play better.I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. That the NHL isn't a development league?

I think even if Kakko tops out as a 3rd liner he wouldn’t have wanted to sign a deal with the rangers to settle into that role. He wants to be more than that and a chance to do so, so I don’t think it was ever in the cards to just keep him in that role
It's happened a lot in recent years with top five picks not panning out. That's the thing that people are missing. He probably would've signed another 1 year deal here with us and then bolted as fast as he could. The entire league knew he wasn't signing with us long term and we got what we could get.
If I'm pissed about anything regarding this situation it's that only we could have a 2nd overall pick turn into a 35 point forward by 23 years old. It's just typical Rangers shit.
Spite.Kakko was a useful player at an affordable price. I still don't understand this trade.
I was listening to the Nucks/Kraks and called the miss on the shootout. One of the few times KK didn’t disappoint. No shots on goal and missed the net in the shootout. That tracks. The extra 3 minutes didn’t help.
I wanted him to succeed so badly. I came to reality last year. He is too streaky to be what we wanted. Now the concern is if Laf is also too streaky to achieve his potential.
Yup. He just is what he is. The draft position makes it a disappointment. Otherwise, he’s a serviceable bottom 6 player.KK's numbers are pretty similar in Seattle so far to what they were here in NY.
NYR- 30 Games- 4 Goals-10 Assists- 14 Points- 13.17 minutes
STK- 06 Games- 1 Goals-02 Assists- 03 Points- 15.27 minutes
NYR- .6 Goals/60- 1.5 Assists/60- 2.1 Points/60
STK- .6 Goals/60- 1.3 Assists/60- 1.9 Points/60
6 game sample size playing for a new team/system ?KK's numbers are pretty similar in Seattle so far to what they were here in NY.

It's premature for sure. You need like.. 4-5 weeks at least to assess fairly.6 game sample size playing for a new team/system ?
I was not making any conclusions. Just stating how things have played out so far. KK could go on a tear of 50 points in his next 40 games or 15 points in his next 40 games. Only time will tell.6 game sample size playing for a new team/system ?
