I get it if you don't like him being traded. But any GM would try to move an asset to the opposite conference, for the best return possible, while endeavoring to help the destination team improve as little as possible.

If he doesn't like it there he is free to exercise his UFA status soon enough.

Agree. Any team should buy low for a fwd that averages 11 goals a season over his career. 270 players beat that every season. 11 goal bottom-6 fwds aren't exactly difficult to come by.
