It wouldn't surprise me at all if Kaako breaks out with the Kraken and he plays a major role in the Kraken winning their first cup ( which will occur sooner than the Rangers winning their next one).

Fire Drury tomorrow. What a friggin leach this guy has been ever since the day we signed him as a player.

To think, I was happy when NJ took the small guy first overall so the Rangers could take Kakko. I’m officially knocked down a few pegs on the hockey knowledge board.

This is why hockey culture's obsession with size is silly. Now this wasn't the worst example of it because he was supposed to be big and skilled but people legit overvalue size.

I love this trade bc we are worse this year so there's no pining to save the season. Personally this season is lost. Good teams can rebound from a slump but this team isn't good and it is fractured. This season is lost so start a culture remake, trade out the cancers, start turning this over.

Ah. So turning it over means trading away our young future for middling returns (one of which will be UFA at the end of this season) while the cancerous vets stick around?

If you have read anything ive posted lately you know I want and have wanted this core nuked for over a year. I want the vermen gone. Kakko was a lost cause here and if he does well elsewhere good, but it was NEVER going to work here.

Drury should insist.
Do a trade in program where they will switch the nameplate on your trouba jersey like Columbus did with the Jeff Carter jerseys haha

Welp, I’m done with this team and most likely the sport of hockey. It’s been a good run. But f*** the NY Rangers. I might swing back by if Dolan ever sells or dies. Drury needs to go, I would have been fine with a Kakko trade that made sense but what the f*** is that return lol.
C'mon now, I respect the sentiment, but Will Borgen can't be the player that ends it.

To be clear, Dolan was more upset about the Tom Wilson incident than his team becoming completely unwatchable and beyond unlikeable at every level to even the most diehard of fans?

Goodrow and Trouba were bad and overpaid but the manager is supposed to manage the team not just make decisions from a boardroom with no tact or care for the human beings on his team and how they might react. Kakko is cheap and actually good if not what we all hoped hed be and we just literally gave him away for barely more than absolutely nothing.

This guy is a garbage GM and is the first one that needs to go

I wish I were a player and fans blamed the GM because he hurt my feelings and I got paid millions while doing f*** all on the ice.

I’ve been on the way out since they lost to the kings. That’s when I had to detach emotionally. Idgaf about Borgen they completely mishandled Kakko from the jump and that POS Quinn is a big reason. Dolan needs to go, Drury needs to go, Zibanejad/Kreider need to go. The NYR’s have issues and when that happens it means nuke everything around the problem but never the actual problem. best of luck NYR fans, you’re staring down another 5-10 years cup free and I’m not staying on the ride.

People freaking out about Borgen haven’t seen him play. He’s going to be a good addition to that 3rd pairing. If he fits, it’s possible Drury extends him at a very reasonable price.
Trade and extend is never at a bargain regardless of it’s a 3rd pairing or top guy

They're not gonna extend anybody who doesn't already have one.

I can't speak to how well he'll execute it, but Drury has convinced me he's over this team.

Drury is really good at half of the equation. Realizing that we have problems and not caring whether it was his guy or how he comes off in getting rid of the problems. He has not showed that he's good at the other half which is not creating these problems in the first place.
