But the f***ing idiots have 14 massive books to use as a source - 14 massive books that are so poorly written and full of such terrible characters written by a virginal man who never had physical congress with a woman - and all these morons had to do was extract the names and plot points, the major fantasy ideas (which are cool as hell), and craft their show on top of them. But for some reason, they chose to just f*** around.
For example, they chose to add pansexual orgies (suggested more than seen) which add nothing to the characters or story aside from unnecessary smiles of approval by the dipshits around them. They chose to cast some of the ugliest people you will ever be cursed to lay your eyes on, presumably to make a point about ... some random shit. The character Liandrin is supposed to be stunningly beautiful, and they chose to cast the most grotesque, acne-scarred, blockheaded woman I have ever seen in this or any other world.
I hate-read the first seven books of that series at least seven times, because of my shit memory - when a new book came out I had to refresh myself. I wouldn't even care if they got it all wrong as long as they were at least trying. Even if they weren't trying. But this f***ing slop is so misguided and wrongminded that it does my f***ing head in.
