First episode of Secret Invasion was very good although maybe confusing if you haven’t seen Captain Marvel and/or aren’t familiar with the Skrulls.
Is Fury a Skrull? I haven’t seen much of anything lately but know the post credit scene in Far From Home had him being one.

I just started watching Secret Invasion and unsure going in.

No. Basically Fury was part of half of the beings snapped away. After he came back he went to the space station and stayed there. The skull in Far From Home was posing as him on Earth, but he is Fury's ally. He's the main char in Secret Invasion helping Fury.

Thank you, my people.

I’ve seen so little of what’s been put out recently I just wanted to make sure that I didn’t miss anything but looks like I even missed what I did see, haha.

Now I can watch fully understanding what’s going on.

It only took about 2 and 1/2 decades. Deadpool 3 movie img

Finished the first part of season 3 of The Witcher the other day. I really do enjoy that show, and it makes me that much more annoyed about the WOT and Rings of Power or whatever its called. One thing I really like on The Witcher is the fighting choreography. Just top notch in my opinion, all the way back to the very first episode. To take it back to WOT, RJ described Lan fighting as more of a dance. The scene at the end of season 1 episode 1 instantly made me think of that. Just deadly efficiency of movement without all the unnecessary twirly whirly shit and superhero landings that you usually see nowadays. They do that in the monster fights, but the humanoid fights feel legit.

On the other hand, once again was underwhelmed with the new season of Black Mirror. "Beyond the Sea" I liked and thought it had the same vibes as earlier seasons. Outside of that, there was an episode that may have ruined "Come Baby Come" by K7 for me forever. That's no small feat, and I did find that one pretty good, but the rest were meh or I didn't like much at all. Some of the older episodes are all time faves for me that I've watched several times.

Probably a 4K Blu-ray release or something. I think it only ever got a DVD box-set. There were rumors of a pending blu-ray release maybe 2 years ago and it never happened.

May have got together for some interviews or discussions for extra-features.

Always glad to see Bruce around. Always wished he would lead more shows and movies. Honestly though, I'd buy the 4K set in a heartbeat.

Season 3 of the Witcher was no season 1 or 2 but man the second half of season 3 is god awful. I’m two episodes in on the second half and I’m already struggling through hate watching it.

I've been so preoccupied with Discworld that I just realized I never read the Sanderson Secret Project books. I felt like an old man trying to download them to my kindle, but I managed to get it done.

Anyway, has anybody here read them (specifically Tress/Yumi), and how good were they? I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to finish off Discworld before I read them.

Tress was quite enjoyable, narrated by a familiar Cosmere character that also narrates Yumi. It's my favourite of the three released secret project books so far. It's not really appropriate for a 5 year old, but I am reading it to my daughter as a bedtime story right now.

The Frugal Wizard's Guide was a different kind of story for Sanderson, more in line with the Steelheart series than his regular fantasy stories. It's a non-Cosmere story. Fun enough, but was missing something.

Yumi was a neat concept which I hadn't really encountered in fantasy and was delivered well. To me, the least predictable of the three, which gives it extra points. I hold it just below Tress.

I recommend reading them in order, if only because that's what Sanderson seemed to have wanted by releasing them this way. ;)

Me reading Sanderson's stuff out of order wouldn't exactly be out of character for me lol. I started the Cosmere off with Stormlight, then read Warbreaker, then Mistborn, then Elantris last. I may just have to wait for Secret Project #4 to come out and read them in reverse order too :)

on the last book in the Phule's Company series...started off good..humorous low Sci Fi military..but got kind of convoluted in the last few...i wonder if it is cause there is a "co-author"
