Kings could have and should have won, but the difference was Lundqvist. And when he needed it, his defenders bailed him out (for a change). Both of those things need to happen in unison 3 more times before it doesn't happen once. I feel good.

Diving Hank had a very good game and we should have put you guys away
It took hard work and a great game by 1 player (diving hank) and a hesitation in our team for you to be gifted your win.

Those are the facts. Kings lost and it is on us. Period.

It will be on us to win the cup and I have been saying all along that it won't be easy and even though the Rags suck they have a great netminder who can steal a game given the chance and that is what happened last night.

Nothing is ever over until it is over. I like our chances but am certain that the Rags will put up another fight. So long as things remain equal I like our chances.

GO KINGS GO!!!!

Anyone looking into the theory that the ice shoveler was skipping the clearing henriks net/crease last game?

I really hope not.

The last two games Hank has benefited from the ice keeping the puck from crossing the line but Quick could just as easily scrape enough debris up to give him the same advantage if he wanted it.

I don't think that it should be even considered an issue.

The silly thing about complaining about puck luck and hockey gods is that you look like a fool when you have to go back to the podium at the press conference and go "yeah, we got some luck tonight."

Lundy not keeping the crease clean = Dirty Player :naughty:

That's just too true.

I would rather have our attitude and position on things then the Rags whining excuse filled way of looking at things.

Maybe the refs will give you another ******** goal :naughty:

All these games have been real close (not game 3) and its been fun to watch for sure

I think you guys end it tomorrow but wouldnt be surprised Hank comes to play again. Hopefully everyone else does too. We need a lead going into the 3rd or the game is over

I will go now

Diving Hank will have to be enormous.

Dirty player is funny. You would think he would want that area clean. I don't think that was ice shavings but more so his tears from all of his whining that built up and gave him a surprise advantage.

What will he do from here out for his tears now that he has been gifted a win?

Oh well, I am sure diving Hank will find something else to cry about or if not the Rag favored media will come up with something for him.

I come in peace fellas

I actually think you guys played your best game and we looked horrible for most of it. We won because Hank played a great game

He did play a great game.. He was the difference last night.

I think the Kings size is starting to take root. You start to see its impact more and more as the series goes on, especially if the team they are playing is a bit undersized.

Game 3 the Kings just kept the Rangers out of the crease after they got the lead, and shots were mostly outside and not very threatening.

Last night Kings just took the game over and were able to move around several of the Rangers defensemen without as much difficulty as early in the series. Rangers forecheck is also starting to disappear, tired legs perhaps. Speed can be slowed, size cannot be shrunk.

Will see if the trend continues Friday. Maybe Rangers find a 2nd gear. In the first 2 games they had lots of bounce, last 2 not so much.

Frustrating last night because the Kings did everything right but show the amount of GRIT and DETERMINATION to beat a desperate team. That's the only thing they lacked last night, but it's what bailed them out in games #1 and #2.

Better start...more GRIT & DETERMINATION and this is over. :handclap:

Maybe the snow will make more saves for you and your team can cry like *****es to the press about "puck luck" "deflections" "bad bounces" and the big meanie refs hurting your feewings. Then NHL Network and NBC can toss your salad some more while Martin Biron washes the King of Nothing's jock strap with his tongue. Then the refs can miss blatant calls for you (playing the puck with a broken stick, slashes, covering the puck in the crease, ect) while you continue to cry about how nothing goes your way and the Kings have all the luck. LOL!

Oh and maybe Voynov will spot you another freebie if you ask nicely. :naughty:

I think Hank's play has been overstated but then again I think that a lot so I'm probably biased.

We beat him three times not including Brown's breakaway clinic--Gabby beat him cleanly and rang the post, and two pucks stopped via magic on the goal line. He made 2-3 really big saves otherwise, but it was more the case of shooters shooting into him than true 'big saves' like Quick on Kreider in OT or otherwise. I get that a lot of that is positioning but again, Rangers fans are trying to have it both ways like they were the other night in the third period when we dominated--the narratives "only reason we are going to OT is because of LUndqvist's stellar play in the third" and "meh, they outshot us a ton but it wasn't really quality" are pretty mutually exclusive.

Just bear down next game and this is over. I don't need to relive 2012 or any of the last series this year again. Just put these guys out of their misery so we can stop talking about ******** Eastern Conference drama like destiny and puck luck and it should be 3-1 the other way and yada yada.

I've seen articles about him not leaving the crease during TV timeouts, and not moving when the ice crews come through wanting to clear it out, wouldn't shock me if it were true and it wouldn't shock me if their were some understanding for home games.

Not saying it's true, or that it matters, because I don't think it does, or even that it happens now (see the date), just what i've read.

Slushiegate!

I would write it off as Lundqvist being a typical goalie weirdo (sorry goalie posters, you are weird) rather than some malicious conspiracy or ploy for added help from the rink itself. He spends 90% of the game on his goal line, it's gonna have buildup regardless.

I'm a little late to the party on this question, but I was at Staples for Game 2 and they showed a child with Downs multiple times on the video board and the arena went bananas each time. Is he someone that is at every game or was it just a random thing? I was curious during the game and the Kings fan next to me didn't know

I need this series to end on Friday for my sanity. Just play like we did last night and this is over.

Seriously. The bright side: I don't have to listen to the NY homers on NBC tomorrow night. The down side: I have to put up with a bunch of NY knobs at staples center for at least one more game...

Someone send a memo to the ice crew to clean his crease extra good for game 5, especially in the 3rd. Some analyst said that in any other arena both of those goals go in, because the ice is so soft at MSG.
