emrick made mention of it early in the 1st. he said the Cup wasn't in the building but was nearby and ready. as time progressed and it looked as though LA may win then they would bring the Cup to MSG.

my guess is the Cup did enter the building last night with only a 1 goal lead late in the 3rd. otherwise they would look foolish if LA suddenly tied it up and won late in the 3rd.

Emrick's early mention was all i heard up through the middle to late 2nd period. i couldn't take anymore of Schreech, Homer O and ST*U Pierre, so i sync'ed up to Nick N and Daryl

lmao. I've synced the Rangers radio guys before so I didn't have to listen to those knuckleheads.

Look at the third period stats for Quick SMH

Both goalies allowing a ton of goals first two periods but both shut-down mode in the third (lately).

Quick has had a stellar series. He really is just like Mike Richter, it's awesome to watch. Hank was definitely due for a great game, though.

"Hey Eddie, did you know <insert player's name> is from Brampton, ON. Johnny Woodcock was his coach in Tier 2 when he was 17 and he knew he could play at this level, even then." Silence....

Hey Pierre, nobody cares where these players are from. Only you do. And I'm starting to think half of the time he makes this **** up and nobody cares enough to fact check or call him on it.

I forget what they fans were complaining about but they were chanting "these refs suck" last night. Made me laugh as they were getting the majority of the calls.

Bettman wants to increase league revenues. Wouldn't surprise me if it is hard to get calls Friday either. LA can overcome it though. I am not worried.

The chant was a result of too many men on the ice, there was a point where there were 7 kings and they touched the puck.

calls went rangers way gm 3 so no complaints.

Bettman is already such a success story lately that if you think he would jeopardize a "conversation with the refs" I cant help you.

Cheers.

I spent way too much money in 2012, like way too much money.

But it was worth every penny to see game Six live. Words can not describe the emotion in Staples Center that night, lots of longtime Fans crying. It was very emotional.

$670 for Game 5 is quite a bit of cash, but I have to consider it. We'll see, I've got 1.5 days to decide.

With that said, I went to Game 2 and it was the best hockey game/moment I've experienced live. So, so glad I decided to go to a game this time around.

Tanner Pearson had 8 shots on goal last night in 13 minutes. Wow.

That kid is gonna be a good one, Kings got a steal picking him as late as they did in the first round
Speed, soft hands, also an edge to his game.

Justin Williams reincarnate. Pearson is a LW Justin Williams.

I have been saying that since the Kings drafted the Kid. He is a spitting imagine of what Justin Williams looked like when he came into the league.

Only difference really is Tanner Pearson is thicker.

Hopefully W.Mitchell will keep his stick down, since it doesnt take much to high stick one of their little forwards. Stay out of the box and we will be fine on Fri.. Cliffy to have a big game on Fri. 13th !

my 670 dollar seat better be worth it on friday ;)

Just sold my center seat for $1,394. Here is how StubHub ****ed me (hard):

Your price $1300.93
Quantity x 1
Total sale $1300.93
Commission - $195.14

Your payment $1105.79

See how my price is about $93 less than the sales price? That's the "no hidden fee" to the seller that they are so proud of. Seems pretty hidden to me.

Then, of course, they charge me 15%, so you see my net.

I'm not complaining, mind you. There is no better way to sell a ticket. It's just an illustrative point on how much StubHub is taking for their share. It works out to a nice 20%.

And besides, I now get to go to the game essentially for free. If I didn't have that extra center seat...guess I will keep it for next season.

I got rid of my extra seats after 2012, boy did I lose a ton of money haha.

Disappointing. But at least its not a loss to feel too bad about. They had their chances, 2 pucks almost crossing the goal line. Lundqvist was a lot better, that kind of worries me, but I think they can close it out at home...

Why do people keep saying this ? Lundy was awful. He let two routine wrist shots from basically the blue-line beat him that ice shavings stopped.

He was garbage. He has been average this entire series so far. It's why NY is down 3-1 frankly.

We have 3 chances to close it out, if we can't do that we deserve to lose.

I'm not SUPER worried though - all games have been close, but we have the better team, and I think our goalie will have less bad nights/goals than theirs will.

We played so much better at MSG then we did at home...I'm hoping they can play a 60 minute game at home...

That save on Carter was pretty good. Same with the saves on Pearson. The whole game changes if they score on those. He wasn't spectacular, but I noticed his rebound control was a lot better. I'm sure this game helped his confidence and if he somehow catches fire its gonna be a problem...

There's not going to be a problem. Last night imo the kings deserved to win, just got a few bad breaks. There's no reason to even get concerned. Quick is back to being a wall. They will win tomorrow.
