Matchups from tonight's game:

Gaborik-Kopitar-Brown
vs.
Hagelin-Stepan-Nash

Pearson-Carter-Toffoli
vs.
Pouliot-Brassard-Zuccarello

King-Stoll-Williams
vs.
Kreider-Moore-St.Louis

Clifford-Richards-Lewis
vs.
Boyle-Richards-Dorsett

Lewis pisses me off so much. If he had just a drop of talent, we would be so much better off. He can't even hit the net on all his breakaways and 2 on 1s. I love his heart and hustle, but man is he god awful at scoring. It's the greatest tease whenever I see it's Lewis in prime scoring position. I know it's not going to happen and it's such an empty feeling.

I am frustrated at the results of Game 4, however I am not going to give the Rangers ammunition to frustrate the Kings and us the fans on Game 5 at STAPLES Center.

I'll be honest and say that the Rangers "BEAT L.A.!" in their own game.

PS: you can tell the bandwagon Ranger fans from the native NYC Ranger fans by seeing them chant "BEAT L.A.!". If they do, they're bandwagoners; otherwise, they're true NYers (read: NOT transplants).

My only wish for game Five is , Kopitar.......SHOOT THE PUCK. I hate when he gets into these pass everything phases.

Kopitar is a way more dangerous player; when he is driving the net, and shooting.

Brown really has been carrying that line in this series. Glad to see him stepping it up, but his two linemates have to be more engaged in the offensive zone and get more pucks at the net.

Carter's line was the most lethal, and the other lines also generated some good chances but were unable to convert (looking at you Stoll and Lewis).

I can't imagine the Rangers limiting the Kings to one goal if they play like that again.

Not once was it mentioned that the Kings could win the Cup tonight. At least state the fact that the Kings could lift the Cup instead of just saying "Winning the Series." There was ZERO hype about the potential of seeing the Cup lifted. They didn't even state that it was in the arena (or at least I didn't hear them say it). Did they even show it during the game or during the intermissions? Pathetic homers over at NBC sports. Judging by the broadcasters it was just another playoff game, not a potential Stanley Cup clinching game. I'm not bitter about losing this evening, but I certainly hope that NBC sports does a better job putting into perspective the possibility of the Kings winning the Cup. But I get it, NBC and NY go hand in hand. The focus will be on the Rangers trying to survive. Thank goodness the rest of the games will be on NBC so nationally everyone can watch the Kings' reign sometime soon.

After seeing the replay of Browns goal, if he doesn't score would he have got a penalty shot due to the slash from behind?

Like they called that slash on Carter's breakaway? Or the penalty shot for covering the puck in the crease? Or the one for playing the puck with a broke ass stick?

We were not going to get those calls last night. Gotta deal with it and win on Friday.

Not even worried. Stop stressing guys. Lots of chances, just could bury them. Lundquist just used up his best effort. I wouldnt be suprised to see quick get a shutout on Friday.

My only worry is that with a little life how much will our fatigue start playing a factor. If this goes to 7 games again...I don't even want to think about it.

We've seen the Kings on the wrong side of the puck way too much when they've had a chance to win. Yes, they had a brilliant effort tonight, but it concerns me whether they can duplicate that on home ice.

Or crash and burn in the most horrific fashion.

Props to the little pile of snow build up at the goal line .... It allows our boyz to skate the Cup around Staples Center in front of the Home crowd as it should be. ;)
Look, Kings need to close this first, but it would be so much better in front of the home crowd.

When possible, I rather had won it last night, but if the Kings win on Friday....so much better, so much.

I still get chills when I see the clip of Brown lifting the cup. You wont get to see that at MSG.

NBC is rather ignorant about the Los Angeles Kings' efforts to legitimize West Coast hockey. Best solution for the Los Angeles Kings to enact on is to win Game 5 and end the series ASAP. That way, more Rangers homers get less money from James Dolan. There's a reason why both Islanders and Devils fans are rooting for the Kings outside of their respective rivalries vs the Rangers.

Don't give the Sharks fans the satisfaction of Schadenfreude.

They better not.

I really hope Quick had a Michael Jordan moment after tonight's loss and said "anything you can do I can do better." We're going to need him to stand tall because I have a sinking feeling Lundqvist isn't going to allow much going further.

It's so pivotal to gain a lead. The one game the Kings had the lead was anyone really in doubt of them losing? The Rangers simply can't muster any type of sustained offensive pressure when a. They don't have the man advantage, and b. we can sit on a lead and clog up the neutral zone.

If someone told me in January we'd be in the Finals with three games to get one win from the Rangers I'd have been psyched, so that'll be the feeling i take into Friday.

I don't think Lundqvist was as good as some people do. I think he got that luck he'd been crying for. Not concerned about fatigue at this point. We looked fast and strong last night. Just lacked finish. Atypical of the Kings, but these kind of anomaly games happen. All the reason we should appreciate that they got us that 3 game lead coming into this game.

Also, my bad, I'm traveling. The last time I was far from home during a playoff game was Game 4 vs Canucks 2012, and that was the only one they got that series as well. Maybe we just wanted to repeat the pattern to give AV nightmares.

Onto Game 5!
