He’s pretty studly. It’s early to anoint him better than Leetch or in HoF company but it’s also naive to discount him as having one great season or not thinking that he’s absolutely elite. He’s already over point per game for his career, over point per game through 50 career playoff games and not a one dimensional offensive defender. As much as I tire of hearing his tires pumped, I also have to give him his due. He’s a beast and a joy to watch.

Makar better than Fox is one thing, Makar better than Leetch is something else entirely, IMO. Both interesting debates, but it feels like our fanbase is hellbent on defending the "wrong" guy in this discussion.

Personally, I'd take Makar everyday of the week & twice on Sunday over Fox, but he's got a hell of a long way to go before he's declared better than Leetch or Coffey or Borque or Lidstrom...forget about Orr. The fact that he's in the conversation with those guys should be enough at this point. I love his game & he's someone I'd pay to see play, but we all need to pump the brakes on his "best ever" title.

Glad I'm not watching the Rangers get absolutely smacked right now.

THIS brother. But how do we catch up? I was there in my seats for a regular season smackdown from the Avs said right then and there to my buddy "ain't nobody beating this team". I saw all of our faults all season and thought we would be second round exit at best. We were lucky this year, can't lean on luck two years in a row, We have some pieces and a good goalie but we are lacking. Hopefully the braintrust don't think we are there next year cause we ain't.
