I'd honestly put this on the level of Tampa/MTL for most one sided finals of the 21st century after tonight.

I mean, I think we all expected Tampa to roll the Habs, this was expected to be a tight series and even in game 3 Florida had absolutely no business winning, were bailed out by Bob.

Reality is what Florida attempted to do is very, I mean very difficult. They're playoff started at the 3/4 mark of the season. They had to win pretty much every game to get in at the 8th and final position. Then have to start on the road in every series. They needed luck to get this done and they had for 3 series but now the tank is empty due to having to play a very fast big strong team. They just ran out of gas one series short. The Kings were able to do it in 2012 but that doesn't happen often.

Vegas is a powerhouse. They’ve been great for a while (not so fond memories of them sh!t-kicking the Presidents Cup winning Avs two years ago after the Avs torched them in G1). And they’ve gotten to another level with a motivated Eichel and healthy Stone.

I don’t like ‘em but I appreciate them. They were my dark horse before the season. Super happy for Jack to just rub it into all the doubters. His time with Buffalo had run it’s course and the Sabres have turned things around but Eichel is a helluva player.

Eichel-Stone-Pie-Theo backed up with an insane amount of depth, size and quality in all areas. Great team and roster build. Star power and depth is a fantastic recipe.

the cats took on a lot of bad karma that led up to them getting pumped tonight

- kevin spacey in space sweaters
- joel quenneville
- staal brothers not participating in pride night
- cocky tkachuk with his walk off celebrations
- radko celebrating in joe woll's face

Makes U think ...
Karma is a real thing.

Of course you can lose 4 straight by dumb luck. This is hockey, anything can happen in a small streak of games.

This stuff happens all the time, it's not some big secret that there's a heavy element of randomness in hockey. A goalie on a heater will end your season just like that... it happens every single springtime. Bobrovsky alone has knocked out 2 of the most dominant teams of all time with a well timed hot streak.
So how many games should they play to factor out luck?? 100 game series is enough? Or 1000? Listen you can keep making excuses for losses but that's loser talk.

Keep making excuses but Vegas not only outplayed them, they down right dominated them and blew them out of the water and knocked Tkatchuk out. Don't make excuses because Florida beat all the eastern teams fair and square

What exactly was an "excuse"?

This isn't a conference battle, but stating the fact that the E has dominated the SCF over the course of the last 7 years isn't up for debate either, 5 for 7.

Adin Hill might just put up one of the best goaltending performances without winning a smythe the way people are talking about who deserves to win it
