This is more of a sign of the two largest sports markets in the USA being involved in a championship series since the Yankees-Dodgers in 1981. Great for the league but doesn't have much to do with "bandwagon" fans.

Also, game 7 against the Hawks was on NBCSN and game 1 vs Rangers was on NBC.

Pretty sure that played a big factor in the higher ratings in LA.
 
Yahoo's Puck Daddy is sour as heck lately. Today the lead guy Greg W... is giving Quick the Cam Ward treatment. Yesterday there was an article about how Rangers have better advanced statistics than Kings. Sad to see because I mostly get my hockey fix on Yahoo, but with those buffoons there I might have to look for other sources.
 
The Kings should petition the league to allow them to spot their opponents two goals, maybe then they will actually start playing from the first drop of the puck.

Man I have friends who all of a sudden are big Kings supporters who call and text me every time we win to be happy with me.


I don't know whether to smile and communicate or tell them to go **** themselves. One of them being a rich boy is claiming to go the next game when he can't name more than 4 players on the roster.

Where the hell were all of you when we didn't make the playoffs for 8 years and all I looked forward to was the LAPD line and the draft during Lombardis takeover.

The Rangers simply don't have the horses to ride along the Kings,,,


also NY rangers media are(Well it's ny,,,) really one of the worst in sports lol

I remember one of their writers Filip Bondy already calling for the cigars/champagne after one win against the Devils back in ECF 2012,,, well they got dominated for the rest of the series haha
 
Probably not the place to put this but, I just got a phone alert from the score saying the kings are for sale? Couldn't see anything on TSN.ca about it.
Does anyone know anything about this?

What a moronic article. Quick faced the maximum number of games against the top three offensive teams in the league and his save percentage is still over 90%. It's interesting to note how you avoided this little fact in writing your slanted and biased article. Here is another fact you ignored: Quick hasn't allowed a goal in the last 49:33. And counting. Chew on that one for a while. And you wonder why he is so short with you media guys. I don't.

Its not so much that the Kings are up for sale as the company that owns the Kings (AEG) is probably up for sale. This is a repeat of what happened in 2012 when the Kings won the cup too, ultimately they didn't get a deal they were happy with and Leiweke was fired. Not sure if anything has changed from 2 years ago or if the reporting is just rehashing an old story. I think its one of those things where they are not actively looking to sell but they are definitely listening to offers.

My understanding is this time it is just the kings. not all of AEG for $10B or whatever the asking price was in 2012
