Right. So what are you asking me about exactly?
Why didn’t Vegas get penalized for what they deserved…?

How many scrums end up in one guy going for 4 and not even 2 on the other team? I’ve seen 4 and 2 frequently. How many of those happen with 4 minutes left? How many in the playoffs? In the Cup?

Then a minute later Pietrangelo, known similarly for his late game antics, breaks his stick on a cross check and nothing.

Refs didn’t affect the outcome of the game significantly but they were still very annoyingly one sided and took away any change the Panthers had to make a late push

Yeah I saw that.

There was absolutely zero way to say his stick was above shoulder from that angle. It’s a shot 180 feet from the play with like 3x zoom. You’re not proving anything that’s a matter of an inch or two from there. There’s too many factors optically .

Okay. We can disagree.

I'm not saying it cost them the game, but I did think it was a high-stick. Just my opinion, its just a hockey game.

Actually they weren't. Game 1 in that series was the only one Vegas was the better team. Game 2 was a coin flip & the Caps were dominant the rest of the way after Holtby saved the win in Game 2.
Actually they were. Holtby was bad, the rest of the team was straight up better, it was not a close game on the ice. edit: and Holtby "saving the win" was only dramatic because he lost his net on a routine play.

He full extended his stick slightly leaning over. It might have been 9-10ft high lol. Utterly absurd.

Do you know a player can fully extend their stick on the ice too? It is about the height where the puck touches the stick, which was not above his shoulders.

Once you’ve planted a seed in your own mind that the refereeing is “worse than ever”, you’re not going to afford yourself an objective viewpoint. This should be obvious.

Yet Vegas scored 7 goals...Holtby wasn't that bad.
He was awful in that first game. He was very much the dude who got benched in the regular season for Grubauer during the Tampa series and Games 1 and 2 of the finals.

Story of the game that no one is talking about is bob gave up 4 goals tonight. bad bob is back.
Bob played great. 2 goals he was completely screened and couldn't see the puck. The difference is in the other series the puck hit him and tonight they went in. You got to be good but you need some luck too. He didn't have the luck tonight.

I don't think the refs are the reason the Knights won the game, but I also don't think the refs were very good in this one either. Maybe next game they will let them play without calling much. One can hope.
