They are the heavy favorite according to all the head coaches and owners too.

Bennett is gonna lay someone out Game 1 and set the tone.
So was Dallas.

Owners? like the billionaires that know nothing about hockey? Ok...… And show me evidence of ALL the head coaches across the league stating that the Panthers are the heavy favorites, I'll be expecting 32 individual links. I find it odd that Knoblauch would be calling the Panthers favorites as well, but you said all head coaches so.....lets see dem links

you realize Bennett played against the Oilers more than any other team for the vast majority of his career right? If you think he's some kind of secret weapon the Florida is going to "unleash" on the Oilers, you will be very disappointed.

Are you saying the Oilers have never made the final before?
And if you mean "this specific makeup of the team", then please look at the last 3/6 winners, all first timers.
Washington and Vegas were both first timers, so one of them was going to win. St. Louis is the anomaly I think. Colorado beat Tampa after their 3rd consecutive finals.

As the 1rst game inches forward as Panthers fan you cannot help to ignore the fact that we have not seen a offense in these playoffs close to what Edmonton will bring but not ready to make a call yet.

Florida is favored on the money line to take game one and to win the series.

Question for Edmonton fans will Kane be on Chucky ? I see they have had previous battles.
there is a difference between heavy favorites, slight favorites and betting favorites.

I would assume that Kane will be given Tkachuk as an assignment, he completely neutralized him 2 years ago in the Calgary series, that being said both guys are different players. Tkachuk is more mature and probably not as easily intimidated anymore, and Kane is a little older and a little slower, so it'll be interesting.

They haven’t been “running around” this whole playoffs.
doubt they will tbh, Oilers are the first team they're playing who are actually more physically dominant than they are + have a powerplay to punish

weak. make a claim and stick to it

All their hits are dirty, lol lollol, according to some fans of Boston, and NY. Beware the refs let the Panthers do “whatever they want”. They are the Dirrrrrty Cats.
 “They even hit you when they don’t have to!!!” Hopefully you guys aren’t such whiners if your team is in a physical game. ;)
as opposing fans this series i think we can find some common ground here.......

bruins fans and ranger fans are delusional (kinda like kings and canucks fans, dallas fans were great though) they got outmanned by the panthers and it was pretty obvious to anyone without a bias. I can assure you the oilers are not soft and weak like the rangers and bruins.

we heard all the same comments from the oilers side "the refs are against us" "the league pays refs to let the oilers have PPs"

Ahh the Bs. Could see that. Oilers also had their years of injured playoff runs too, and finally put an emphasis on staying healthy. Should be a good Cup finals, neither team is really hampered much and should be fine after this extended break.
Ekblad played on a broken foot since 1st round, Montour had a wrecked shoulder. Gudas was beaten up & injured several ways. Bennett had shoulder(?) injury. Luostarainen fractured his leg blocking a shot vs Carolina. Then Tkachuk got blasted and cracked his sternum in the Final. They didn’t have enough depth to cover for it. So comparing Oilers vs Vegas in the second round(?) to FL vs Vegas in the Final isn’t really the best way to go about it.
They also have a very different approach this season. Much more controlled and disciplined.

Nobody they faced was as complete as Florida
weird cause before the dallas series it was all "the stars are the deepest team in the nhl" "the oilers cant even match up to the stars 2nd line let alone 3 and 4" "dallas has the best defence in the league" "dallas goaltending is light years better than anyone the oilers have faced"

Drakes on the Oilers bandwagon. Finally found a competent team to cheer for.
god damn, i was feeling good up until that bum jumped ship

Panthers bringing back Galoob or Galeb. Forget how you spell it.
What I thought I saw last game was just the edmonton crowd singing in unison now that was impressive. By far the Canadian National Anthem is hands apart better than our in my opinion.

Would it really be embarrassing to lose to the best D to ever lace them up?

Rumor is that in between shifts, Forsling is out in the stands escorting trouble makers out.
i heard forsling gets to the arena early every game and defends parking spots for everyone else. HES THAT GOOD AT DEFENCE

Look at you, out here trying to convince everyone the Miami Marlins are a professional sports team. Can you call yourself a professional sports team when you get outdrawn by a highschool volleyball game?
Last time I went to a Marlins game (opening day last year) we were in sight of the stadium 1/2 hour before 1st pitch....got to our seats in the bottom of the 5th. Screw trying to get to that stadium.

I don't know why it's so hard for some people to just say "wow both teams are really good and had to go through a lot to get here"

Should be a good one with hopefully an Oilers win
i think the vast majority of us realize these are the 2 best teams in the nhl. but what fun is it agreeing on that when we can call other great players bums and talk smack, we still have 48hrs+ before game 1

He takes care of the flashers.
well can he stay on the ice when they are in edmonton? we all here like our flashers..... a lot

I’m assuming you’re referring to Florida fans who are all in bed by the time the Oilers play?
Judging by some of the comments here, many Oilers fans haven’t been watching the Panthers play, either.

What comments specifically?

Most of what I'm seeing is acknowledgement that it'll be a tough series but hoping we'll win. I assume Panthers fans are the same.
