This is what you originally replied to on this topic - "The legend of Bobrovsky this year is also overblown. He's been very solid, but people are acting like he's been a stand out".
I guess you read outplayed where he said overblown?
This is the full comment from the post which I originally replied to.
“The legend of Bobrovsky this year is also overblown. He's been very solid, but people are acting like he's been a stand out in these plays and he hasn't (last year he was). He's been outperformed by Shesty, Swayman and Otter in these playoffs.”

...maybe I read “outplayed” where he said “outperformed”.

Dallas beat way better teams than Florida did
Well that's highly debatable and doesn't mean anything even if it was true. Are you implying that Florida wouldn't have beat them as well? Dallas had too many too old guys and were not healthy at all, it's obvious the earlier rounds took a big toll on them and watching the series against Edmonton they were totally out of gas. Dallas had to play Heiskanen over 27min/game because they had no D left.

Please name all the 'x' players who were supposed to shut down 97 for DAL, VAN, and LA, then let's compare them to barkov and forsling

Kopitar, Daneault, Doughty, Hughes, Hronek, Heiskenen. At the start of all those series, these players were all supposed to, at the very least, be able to limit McDavid, but what people forget is that the unquestioned best player in the world is better than all of them.

I'll give you Barkov, perennial LEGIT Selke finalist and a fantastic player, he's essentially the new Bergeron, but Forsling? really? Heiskenen is twice the Dman Forsling is and McDavid just stole Miro's lunch money. if you're betting on Forsling to shut down one of the greatest players of all-time, you're in for a rude awakening my friend.

This is exactly what they said about Dallas. We'll see on Saturday.
Florida is alot tougher than Dallas. And they are a relentless forechecking team. When the opposition gets the puck, they are on them immediately. Imo, that is not a good thing when guys like Nurse & Ceci are on D.

There's no reason what so ever to have a full week off before the finals.
Not only that.

But if it goes 7, that's 16 days it will take.

Bit much.

Florida is better than Dallas was at every facet of the game? Dallas was considered to be deeper than Florida all year long, it's just that in the conference finals they ran into a top 5 player of all time while Florida lucked out with a team led by stars who haven't been able to crack a ppg their entire postseason careers. Eetu-Lundell-3goalsenko > Benn-Johnston-Stankoven? Not even close. Heiskanen > Forsling too btw, and it's not as close as one might wish it was.
Dude, you’re coming back to this again?
You’re just trying to f*** around with that poster you replied to, right?

yikes! I don’t see that, at all.
Which part of that was wrong, my friend?

I would definitely pick Florida's third line over that Dallas line if I'm building a team that's supposed to do well in the playoffs, you saying that it's not even close doesn't really make it any more convincing but quite the opposite. Maybe you considered Dallas to be deeper than Florida but I certainly among many others didn't, not this year or the year before.

And yes like I said Heiskanen is the only standout on the Dallas roster but them having to play him for over 6min more ice time than the next D-man just tells you everything you need to understand about the depth of the Stars.

32/32 GMs would take Dallas' third line over Florida's. Maybe you and a few others considered Florida to be deeper than Dallas but the number of goals that were coming from the lower half of their roster all year long doesn't leave much room for interpretation.

The gap between the forward depth of Dallas and Florida is much larger than the gap on D. Stars were deeper.

Hey , why is the game on saturday a week after? Nobody in the world except Nhl fans will even know this is starting on the weekend lol. Let's get things going faster next time

ESPN says so, also the NHL/TV partners don't want games on the same night as the NBA Finals.

Heh, I wouldn't be surprised to hear next that you are one of the GMs.

Panthers have easily better center depth, or are you telling me 32 GMs would also pick Hintz and Duchene over Barkov and Bennett? How about wingers; Robertson, Sequin, Marchment, Pavelski, over Reinhart, Tkatchuk, Verheage, Rodrigues? Dont think so dude.
