Yep, that's where the razor sharp shrewdness comes in. And courage and belief in your team. You know that Oilers have a greater chance of scoring a short handed goal than allowing one on a FLA PP.
None of it means anything. They will never admit to getting breaks, and ultimately it doesn't matter because they're a game away from the Stanley Cup.
I've made peace with whatever happens. Connor was eventually going to figure out how to win.
Still believing in Bob’s SO in game 7Mcdavid taking an off day on the points in game 6 with the biggest game of his life next should be terrifying for the panthers…
Only like 11-1 or 12-1. They dont usually hang huge odds on nhl seriesanyone know what the Vegas odds were for Edmonton winning it all after game 3?
The Woodcroft Oilers would have totally blown that lead sitting back in the 3rd. Knoblauch's defense is so much more active and high-intensity that it never really felt like Florida was going to get anything going even with a few half-decent zone entries going the other way. Their in-zone defense, much like their PK, has been extremely effective.Credit to the Oilers for not really buckling after giving up that goal early in the 3rd. I absolutely expected that game to turn into a fire drill from that point on but they kinda just kept locking things down.

It's not. The Stanley Cup was decided in 2 rounds in 1942 and there were only 6 teams. The Oilers will truly be above all Big 4 teams if they win. I'm not an Oilers fan. It's not hyperbole.Don't even really think it's comparable to 1942.
I don't know but speaking for fellow Canucks fans I agree this is a big 'what if' for us. When you lose your 2nd most important player the very 1st game of the playoffs, then lose your hottest scorer right before game 7, and still take the cup winners to 1 goal in game 7 (after having success against them all season) I think it's natural for any fan to think things could've gone differently.
And I honestly don't mean that to disrespect Oilers fans at all, EDM played great in our series especially 6-7, they earned it 100% but it just sucks not having those difference makers in such a tight series when it's 2 great teams going at it.
Total credit to the Oilers. They faced adversity in those moments against VAN & carried it on to breeze thru Dallas. And I think they turned to that experience when down 0-3 in this series aswell. Now they are on the cusp of history.
I had no idea what Malort was until you posted it.So much props to you, bud. I'm a neutral fan in all of this, but you have consistently been the most respectful and level-headed fan in these threads. The world needs infinitely more of you. I hope one day to buy and share a shot of your choosing. (Unless it's Malort, in which case you're drinking alone).
I hope we can win for Perry and Rico, bug. This is wild haha. Monday should be crazy. Just hope it’s a good game.
Haha not sure I can do thatI hope we can win for Perry and Rico, bug.
If anybody ever offers to buy you a shot of Malort, leave. Unless she's an 11/10. Actually probably still leave because it's probably a setup.I had no idea what Malort was until you posted it.
Thank you for the kind words. If you are ever in Tampa...HMU...i'll gladly meet up for a drink.
KaneGuys like Janmark, Brown and Henrique have had some big moments in this series.
Honestly, other than Kane and Perry, has RNH been EDM's most lackluster forward against FLA? Maybe Holloway?
Says the guy on Hf every day while his team is golfing can’t have it both ways
I saw +2000 during that time frameanyone know what the Vegas odds were for Edmonton winning it all after game 3?
