I loved watching those original buzz teams... I forget the year but I remember they had a great battle with PTBO and came up a wee bit short.... I was at game 5 when they lost in overtime ... I remember leaving the arena crying haha ... I'm pretty sure PTBO won the whole thing that year... Such a great team too.. lotsa big names.... Insane that it took Sarnia 10 years to get back to round 2.... then another 10 years to get back to round 2 after that.... simply incredible. This years Sting team has a 0.375 win percentage which would be 4th worst all time for the buzz... so you know this year has been bad.

I couldn't believe the video of the lines that day. It was pretty cool in the way of how many ppl were supporting the team & the buzz the city had.. My favorite couple weeks as a Sting fan, but it's tough.
With season tickets it didn't cause any issues & selfishly it was much more enjoyable not having 500-1000 London fans going nuts all 3 games (not hating that's what ur supposed to do), but for ppl like Ferda it's utter BS.
Even for ppl who had to work that day or maybe had prior plans. They get screwed even tho they've been supporters. I see what they were going for & for them they are probably happy with how it went (almost no LDN fans), but they also pissed off/betrayed long time fans & didn't make it up/apologize for it.
Those first few years were amazing at both the sarnia arena and the progressive auto sales arena, you could really feel the energy inbthe stands and the players always fed off of it. it use to be an awesome night out!
Would love for them to bring that back to this franchise, I'd be back for sure no doubt about it

Tried to find as much video on O'Brien as I could. Looks like he's a strong defender. Big, really lengthy. Has some offense to him but not a ton.
Few clips I saw he did make some mistakes while under pressure though.
Should add some size, snarl, maturity to the backend. If I had to guess Letang let Seca know that he thinks there backend lacks those things & that's why he was signed. Fischer/Bodin/O'Brien probably be a trio he'll use a ton on the PK and late in games while winning (if they ever start doing that again)
Andersen gonna have a hard time getting in the lineup. Would prefer they sent him down to the legionnaires. Omeri probably be sent back to Collingwood or let go/traded.
Once Young returns assuming what his injury is isn't season ending, Barr or Bridgewater will be sitting and I'm not a big fan of that.
Let's hope Jack can help stabilize the backend. It could use it. Also see if Fischer somehow avoided SSPD or if they r gonna announce it tomorrow.

Welp it's a battle of the two worst teams in the OHL right now. Sarnia may not be 19th or 20th, but nobody has played worse the last month. PBO has played better & tougher the last 10ish games, but if Sarnia can't beat them then I am not sure what to say.
I'm guessing Fischer SSPD gets announced during the day. O'Brien gonna be making his debut so hopefully he can help lessen the blow & show some good things. Hope to see Kostuch off L4 & into the T9. My god would it be nice to see Brown score one so he can stop gripping his stick so hard & stop overthinking everything.

Yeah if they can't pull off a win tonight after closing the doors and having that meeting on Sunday, then yah... what the hell do you even say? I'd fear all hope would be lost at that point. Sting gotta find a way to have a successful weekend. This is the time with being on the road, bonding with the boys and what not...gotta put it all together and come home with 3/4 points at least. The outcome of this weekend could be what brings change.....

What’s the odds you guys trade Fischer this year instead of next year? Rebuilding still- next year building block prob top 4 in conference- year after is the go for it year prob
If you get another top 08 or a top 07 like Owen griffin for Fischer would you do it?? Obviously gotta build around 07 and 08 group or 08 and the soon to be 09 group

Wonder if a guy like Mitch young gets traded to gather picks and they hold onto Fischer until next year? Or trade Fischer and trade young next year at deadline and go for it year after? Those are the 2 big pieces you have that you could move imo. Gives guys like bridgewater more of an opportunity but it looks like you don’t have a lot of vets on the blueline too according to quant hockey Sarnia Sting @ OHL - 2024‑2025 Stats

He was on the ice for the teddy bear toss goal. Videos posted on social media show him using his stick to toss 3 separate bears back into the crowd while on his way back to the Saginaw bench. Not sure we can call it innocent when he did it 3 times lol.

Terry and Barry only caught the one bear during the broadcast right after the goal. He does it two more times on his way to the bench, heck he even turns back for the 3rd one for good measure lol. 3 separate items into the crowd, 3 separate games he should be suspended for. Math adds up to me!

Not sure what he was thinking. It's not like he was getting pelted with him & at least then you'd sorta see why. Also not like they were getting dominated so he'd be frustrated with how they are playing.
Just a really immature moment for him. Crazy previously that would've gotten considerably more & Fischer also is lucky he didn't get 5+ games going off prior instances of what he did
The discipline commity in the league right now is truly confusing.
