Karimov to 4th and Franceschetti to 3rd is such a slap in the face to this kid who has been finding his stride lately. Beamish sitting on L1 while our arguably, top player (Wainwright) sits on the 3rd and they saddle him with Johnston as well. Talk about diluting lines.

How can you be a coach that preaches accountability then have Brown (who I like) 1st line when he hasn't done a single thing in a month, Beamish 1C when he doesn't have a point & then have both JJ (who has 1PT) and Johnston (been our worst player) ahead of Karimov who had 2G last WED...
How can players listen to him speak about accountability, earning your ice etc then see the lines & not be in disbelief.
I guess Kostuch wasn’t selected for the OHL Top Prospects game?

I'm glad to see 18-81-25 back together. They worked well together early on in the season. Nice to see Edwards is back in the middle but it sucks that it's because of another injury. Don't talk to me about the rest of the lines
Good news is that none of the injuries look long-term from the timetables the Sting posted on Twitter. Hopefully Hall and O'Brien can provide some energy in their season debuts

I fully blame Letang for this. Kostuch’s regression is on him, imo. You can tell Kostuch’s game has changed since last year when he was getting more minutes. Must be a real gut punch to see guys who are 16 and vets who shouldn’t even be in the top 9, playing the PP and overtime. Up until recently, Kostuch was maybe getting 8-10 min/game. You can’t produce with that time. You can tell it’s gotten to him. Sucks in his draft year. Maybe he can pick it up from here but it’s clear as day he lacks the confidence now.

That game is stupid. It should be the actual prospects. Why the heck are OAs playing? Especially ones who've commited to university!
Even a guy like Young who's 19 shouldn't be playing.
Having 19s & 20s means guys like Kostuch/Hurt (& so many others like them elsewhere) aren't in it when the game should be for them.

Solid 1st. Post then a breakaway save keeps them off the board. Good debut PD from O'Brien. Nearly scored, couple good D plays including one that led to Moses' mini breakaway & nearly scored on his 2nd shift.

good first by the buzz... they seem to be showing some desperation in their play which is good for a change... I will say PTBO is bad tho sheesh.

Wild how different Johnston looks as a player when he's motivated. Still holds onto it to long, but he's everywhere & completely controls play.
Easy fix for Letang. Tell him that we're playing London or Peterborough every night lol

Holy Christmas, a power play goal!!! Wish Kostuch got an assist as his extra effort kept the puck in the zone. Nice shot by Doucette. Surzycia been excellent. See what the 3rd brings.
What ever was said in that team meeting the other day. Must've went in one ear and out the other. If this is the effort it the next 2 games it will get ugly.

The effort is there imo. They just have 0 confidence & the chemistry still looks bad. A lot of disconnect on rather routine plays.
But the desperation & desire to win is much more present than last weekend.
This is aweful hockey, we are playing down to level and think is stat night especially Johnston. Penalties (dumb penalties) are hurting buz tonight. I'm sorry but from what I see we are going 0/3 this weekend.
oh boy PTBO taking it to the buzz these last two periods... This team simply sucks no other way around it. And as im writing this PTBO scores. Zero offensive creativity or thinking going on.

Johnston probably played the most minutes of any sting player tonight, including the 5 on 3. Bizarre.
