Started good for 1st game after a closed door meeting. Coaches have lost the room. Zero continuity on lines, Bodin getting worse, and we just got outshot by Pete's? What wouldnt we give them their 4th win on year. Looks like Letang and co. Wont be happy till they are Last overall. If I was a betting man this year will solidify more players committing and running from this staff.
O'Brien was our best D.
I barely saw Karimov in 3rd no OT from Edward's but 2 shifts by Beamish, kostuch gets OT ice. This team is WAY better than playing Coaches really are ruining this organization. DS can't wait any longer...

Karimov got 7 shifts tonight. Straight up sickening. I hope the kid leaves.
Did Barr or Bridgwater touch the ice all 3rd? Definitely didn't in OT because we DOUBLE SHIFTED Jack Bodin!!!!! OUR WORST SKATING DMAN????!??
2Fs to kill off a 4on3? What in the hell is that.
They call a timeout once again for a 5on3 & the play they draw up ....... Is Johnston and Doucette playing catch at the point & firing a weak shot? Are we watching U11 hockey?? Then they don't have it late when they ice it 3 times which made the commentator laugh LOL.
Sidenote: Johnston on the 5on3 LMAO. The guy he's benched every game the last 2 weeks. I mean you can't make it up.
Peterborough (no disrespect intended, they won the damn cup 2 years ago I'd take that!!!!!!!!!) is barely an OHL roster. They outplayed us in the 2nd and 3rd easily. We sat back scared to make a mistake. Vs a team with THREE wins
If this staff isn't let go after Sunday I'm not sure I'm attending next week. I'm sick of it. Absolutely sick of it. They make EVERY wrong decision it's absolutely baffling.

I made sure to watch every second of that game and I maybe heard Ryan Browns name once or twice....Bodin is just simply awful out there too.... I felt like I was watching a Jr. C game... not a lot of good passing, very sloppy messy play. I don't think Sarnia had one clean breakout where more than one pass was tape to tape. Imagine being Kamirov and coming over here being pegged a top 3 round guy only to hardly see the ice. Honestly I just don't even know. Why would anyone wanna play in Sarnia ... if im a high end prospect in next years draft I'm telling Sarnia to beat it.
It's actually sad DS doesn't see real issues with team I still say, it started when we got a player London couldn't wait to throw away.
Again it seemed to me Letang lets jefferywiyb zero experience run show call timeout on 5 on 3 and screw team late in game with some weak play icings when could use a timeout.
I cannot stand Mike Haley behind the bench... I have yet to see him not look like a complete bum with his tie half done up and crooked doing absolutely nothing of relevance. The only thing I've ever seen Letang coordinate to plan was when the coaches all wore dumb yellow ties for the playoffs. Jeffries one year ago was in his first year coaching 9 year old kids... thats the experience Jeffiries brings to the table ... 1 year of coaching 9 year olds..... Mike Haley the exact same thing ... we have 2 assistants who were coaching children before they came up to the Sting. This organization is in trouble if Legwand doesn't do something fast... but is he even watching?? If im Seca im on the phone right now asking Saginaw what it would take to get Garrett Rutledge to come over and take over as the head coach.
Imagine the meeting where they decided to hire Jeffries... yah let's target the assistant coach of the Sarnia under 8 team. Theres zero doubt Sarnia didn't look at anyone else out of convenance.

I genuinely haven't been this frustrated, annoyed, disappointed in this organization in my time as a fan.. obviously there's been playoff loses where I'm heartbroken or steaming pissed off, but this is a bit different.
Trust me I didn't anticipate great things. But this team isn't this goddamn bad. They are getting legitimately great goaltending (#s don't do them justice). The rookies are sensational.
I've truly never seen a worse PP. The PK is a disaster. They are the worst 4on4 & 3on3 team I've seen. They rarely score early. They suck late in games. 17 yr olds who had strong rookies years are all struggling.
This is truly the litmus test for what Legwand is as an owner. Is he okay with mediocrity (if u even call this that) if they still get 3500+ at games? Or is he gonna act & do something. Because this should be unacceptable. You seriously can't have more red flags than what we have right now.

3500 aint happening after Christmas. After we lose back to back 10-1 games vs LDN that will be it. 10-1 is honestly generous too

Probably the last time I'll fully touch on it the rest of this weekend as we are beating a dead horse x20000, but maybe this team just sucks. Way more than we anticipated. Barr hasn't looked good. Brown hasn't. Hurt is solid, but definitely having some lower lows than last year. Kostuch has come around after slow start..Karimov isn't as good as hyped up.
But it isn't THIS bad. We literally saw them playing pretty solid hockey the first few weeks. One of the only teams to beat Windsor. Played a great game vs Saginaw that they choked. Played a great game vs Oshawa that they also choked. Played a great game @ Brampton. Played awesome up north vs NB/SBY & decent vs SSM. Outplayed NIA both meetings..
They look like a team who's quit on the coach. I'm not sure how else to view it. They rarely start on time. Worst special teams in the league. Don't even play physical like they were early on. Don't block shots like they were early on. Remember when they were fighting like every game if not multiple times? Completely gone. They look so flat.
Whatever they do work on in practice does not show whatsoever. They actually look more disorganized/disjointed by the week! They just played a team with 3 (!!!) wins and I came away saying wow we look more out sorts)disjointed then them!
I do not think Letang is an awful coach. It's why I was a supporter of him even while others weren't big fans (clearly u guys were right lol). I liked how our D were developing under him. Ritchie, Mast, Dillingham all took huge strides under him. Kyrou in a few months went from utter disaster defensively to super reliable. Last yr Hurt and Barr looked great as rookies. Fischer took a step.
But he's never been a strong coach for offense/creativity & it got exposed vs LDN when he had a super team & they couldn't score & ever since it's like he has gone to another level of conservative. This team for 2 seasons takes ZERO risks & plays with 0 creativity. When's the last time on the PP we saw a bloody seem pass from wing2wing? When's the last time we saw a tic tac toe goal on the PP? When's the last time we saw a set play not even for a goal just in general?
They play not to lose. That is not how this roster should play. It should be an uptempo, in your face, aggressive team. They have elite speed. They have guys with legit skill (Wainwright Karimov Kostuch Di Iorio Edwards Brown Doucette Fischer Young Bridgewater) & yet it's never used.. they actually look scared to use it!
He isn't developing the Fs with his stingy style & even the D aren't developing & offensive guys like Barr/Bridgewater have been reduced to stay at home types as when do u ever see them joining the rush???
He is a fine coach, but he isn't the coach for this roster of players & it's pretty obvious. I hear the "well who would you hire", I don't know. Some have made some suggestions. Maybe Legwand can be interim. Maybe Jordan Hill. Strathroy coach. This can't continue. It's just killing these kids confidence & soon enough kids will want out.

He has zero clue how to make lines, we have seen his constant juggling even after guys like karimov and brown have best games of year.. pretty sure we want them confident and wainwright to have linemates.
Just saying beamish comes un takes 1st line surrounded by linemates and wainwright gets 3rd line guys and guy who scratched cause everyone sees he is fake player. Anyway doucette line us fine but come on when are we going to accept filak is 3rd line guy it's been 5 years.
Beamsish just doesnt have the speed to push this pace yet like wainwright can to get something out of brown and karimov. Ffs. Anyway jefferies lasts the weekend this organization is accepting mediocrity and that's just not enough for me. Been season ticket holder for 12 years and I honestly can say I will be done with this team. Still follow at distance but for mgmt to accept this coaching I'd a slap to all of us. Resume of letang or not he isnt a head coach. Just isn't. Not it a development league have to develop players. Reputation is on the line Fitzgerald already said no thanks to sarnia and wassilyn last draft too. Going to have more and more of that.
It's time to draw line in sand and step over without this entire staff as hard as it will be we all will be happy and except the rest of this year with players getting ready for next year.

Sure hope karimov and bodin stay in europe will get coaching there it's going to ger worse here.

How can anyone take Letang serious when he prioritizes playing the hometown kid who doesn't deserve anything more than 4th line ice at minimum? Like someone else said, how do you go from being benched to playing more mins than anyone else and starting OT? Wanna know why the Petes won last night? Because they didn't start Johnston's rookie goaltender brother for the first time at home, because it's about winning a hockey game. Do you think the Petes coaching staff were like "hmmm, let's play the rookie just so he can play against his big brother at home, how nice would that be?" lol come on.....but yet here we have Mr Letang acting like #37 is playing his last game of hockey of his life. It's comical at this point. Critical thinking skills seem to elude this coaching staff.
Just read the article of last night's game. Seca talks about how we just gotta keep digging in. We've already dug so deep we can't get out of the hole. I noticed he never mentioned the coaches. He also mentions Young should be back next week.

I think it is a sin to load up your team for one single large kick at the big "M" can. Sending out your talented young players who are 16 and 17 years old and bring in older players who are 19 or 20 years old for one playoff run. The following 2 seasons, you lose your 19-20 year old and no longer have future young 16 & 17 year-old stars in sights. Is it any wonder this team is thin today? IMHO
