It's amazing to see the attendance go up but I question whether they'll actually sustain that if this team is in the basement this year and next which looks likely. What good does that run do if you have two years that completely undo that progress? I understand that it would have been a risk to sell but ultimately it was a risk to go all in like that and it didn't pay off. We can't keep being OK with this organization failing. If you go all in you have to have win it all and they didn't. If the team sold and traded Voit they would have gotten an '06 to pair with Martone for this year and next which would have been great. We'll obviously never really ever be able to know which was the right decision because one will always be a hypothetical. The lack of future core pieces emerging through the first half of the season has really made me question whether buying last year was the right choiceMartone was a mistake, but not the others. Had to be done. They hadn't done anything since 2018. Coming off covid. Had built that core group for years.
Were the best team for 3-4 months. Should've won vs LDN but went full Sarnia as per usual.
Look what 1 run did. Best attendance they've had in 20 years since last January. Conference is stacked this yr. We still would've been bad now if they sold and 0 guarantee they guys they could've got would've formed a core as good as Burke, Voit, Mast, Dillingham, Ritchie, Gaudreau, Vilmanis, Lantz.
