PP is still in the Christmas spirit. Gifting wrapping the Knights opportunities. The team really needs to start declining power plays

L.o.l. Not an exaggeration to say that was the single worst PP performance I have ever seen. Under siege UP A MAN all night. At least 6 shorthanded breakaways. 3 goals.

They legitimately stopped trying on that 5 min PP after allowing another one. Unacceptable. Long break, young team whatever, effort, willingness to win battles, communication are not negotiable out there. Despicable showing by those 2 units.

Brown in his first game back in weeks as a rookie was their best F by a mile. Thankfully alright after that dirty slew foot.

Team owes Surzycia whatever he wants. Left that kid out to dry all night. Fricken oof.

Your tv announcers are terrible. Mute and radio commentary required
Oh. We know haha. if there was a fan vote I guarantee 99% would vote for our radio guys (Cunningham especially) to do it over Doyle & Wright.

That was absolutely awful! Our special teams are absolutely terrible! Just throw five d-men out there on the PP at this point. At least you wouldn't give up any shorthanded goals. Like you said in your post it was incredibly discouraging to see the lack of effort in the third. They've pushed back all year but didn't see any of that today

ok.... that was easily one of the most pathetic games Sarnia has ever played... reminded me of the of the pre-stamkos days where the team had no effort or talent.... I have never seen a more putrid power play in my life.... what do they even work on in practise? like they keep tossing Cooper Way out there on the pp and expect good things..... Brown should be getting ever second of pp time but he's being sat for Way and Filak... Nick was absolutely peppered in net tonight.... I feel bad for the kid playing on this team.... Haley snapping behind the bench too... also no one holds Seca accountable for trading a top 3 NHL pick. Abysmal organization

I kinda wish there was a way to decline penalties, like in football. We don't have a PP, then they go with the 4 forwards 1 defenseman on their attempt at a PP. We're getting hurt on our powerplay as much as we are on the penalty kill.

Is this a result of Latang being away?

I mean, his fill in is a guy who got repeatedly punched in the face during his hockey career, so the results we've seen since Letang's absence make sense.

This is just a really bad hockey team with bad leadership on and off the ice. I'm so sick of coaches playing their vets just because they are vets. We are in a development/rebuild year and here we have a 20 yr old with hands of stone on our 1st PP unit, which has never even been a smidge of decent at any point this season.

Your 16 year old rookies shouldn't be your best players...and if they are, at least reward them with the ice time and opportunities on man advantages.

No. The power play has been trash the entire year and going back to the playoffs from last year... Letang has the mentality that because ur a rookie you need to wait your turn even if that rookie is better. He did the same thing with Martone last year.... Sarnia has a guy who's got 4 goals the entire year on PP1... his job is to screen the goalie... thats house league strategy.

Watching the sting bench in comparison to the knights bench was something to behold....Literally not a peep from anyone on the Knights bench meanwhile Haley yelling constantly ... guy can't even do up his tie properly and the organization expects him to run a power play.

I tried to prepare for how bad this season could be & outside those opening 15-16 games but holyyyyyyyy.

I really don't care they stink. Even with Martone they would've. They are just so boring. Feels like 90% of the home games since mid November has been snoozers.

Dave has said it before but next yr could arguably be worse too lmao. Fricken eh.

I wanna say I prefer the all-in approach more than the teams who stay in constant mediocrity (4th-7th) but the low years certainly make u reconsider lol.

He'd of probably helped to make some adjustments or settle them down but end of the day they probably have the lowest amount of skill of any team in the league. Especially with Vilmanis not playing.
I get it but Windsor made a coaching change and there PP and PK has improved. Letang is a quality coach. I mean team Canada picked him. Having him back should help somewhat. And I agree it's time to develop the future not try to develop an OA. Now if the OA brings something different story because that is good for mentoring the youth.

Sunday will be interesting. Sting seem to have Windsors number but Windsor also has started to turn it around. Battle of of the basement, lol.

Team Canada is a boys clubs....Letang got the in when he started at the u 16 teams I believe... he did jobs that most jr coaches wouldn't do and it paid off for him. TBH I have yet to see anything from Letang at the JR level that tells me he's a good coach. He's mostly lost as a coach and choked with last years team... he was always 1 or 2 steps behind

Next year lol oh boy buckle up.... the possibility of us having back to back 1st overall picks is real... then be good for 1/4th of a season, choke, and back to the basement.

Worst part is this stupid lottery. Windsor is probably gonna pass us. So we might come 10th/19th. And still pick 4th cause all 4 teams have equal odds which is ridiculous.

And you know Sarnia luck in these type of things. Feel like it's so unnecessary for Jr hockey/OHL. Felt this way before us being likely in it as well lol.

See what they can recoup in the next 10 days.

Team is absolutely toast. Look like Windsor did at the start of the yr. Lost, no structure, no pace, no confidence no nothing.

Chartier been under fire since the moment the puck dropped just like surzycia was yesterday.
It's almost as if r players know the trade deadline is coming and r guys have said F it I want out.

Seca needs to be in full sell mode. Might as well just trade everyone we can and just tank.

Even when we don't win I at least love getting to watch some great, intense, meaningful hockey. It's easily the thing I miss most when we have these type of years.

Which is all the more frustrating because out of 10 years this is about 7 of them for this franchise every cycle. Crazy seeing the arena packed every night despite the on ice play. They'll be lucky if it still is by the time they're good again.

This is just the beginning, too. Oh what did we all do to deserve picking this organization man 😂
