Kostuch has already matched his production from 34 NB games in 9 games here. Him and Brown averaging around .50 ppg is a good sign for us.
Great sign. Brown has hit his first real wall/rut (as has Wainwright) but we know how good he can be/will be. Kostuch has been awesome. Every weekend he improves it feels like. Those two should be one helluva duo for us for years to come.

Hurt is getting a crazy amount of ice time too as a rookie. Can only be helping his development. Same with Barr before his injury. '07 core looks awfully bright. Especially if Sim, Bridgewater, Luecke can develop well. Couple of the other picks (McNally, Timmins, Andersen) have had solid years too. Be great if they could convince Kosiba or Quinlan to come.

He huge if they can have another great draft this season. We'd be set up so well

Honestly just praying we don't get 8th. It'll be vs London. As much as it would pain me no way I'm buying tickets to those massacres.
LOL, you haven't forgotten #8 Kitchener vs #1 Windsor in last years playoffs have you? And before you say Kitchener wasn't really a #8 London slapped them pretty easily in round 2? But hey history tells us it should be ugly normally! ;)

That Kitchener team was pretty good.. they added guys and had a strong veteran team... for whatever reason it didn't work out... That #8 Kitchener team last year would dust this Sarnia team. You forgot to add that I did predict Windsor losing to Kitchener ;) ... Lets not forget that London team beat a pretty stacked Sarnia team .... last year was truly a weird year for the O.

Getting that 1 or 2 overall pick would make the draft easier...From everything I am reading its Wassilyn and Valentini head and shoulders above ... Seca has nailed the last 2 drafts imo so it seems like scouting is a strong suit of his ... Kosiba would be a huge bonus

He (Letang) I believe is a solid coach but Dale schooled the youngster a bit for sure. Damn still think we had a better team then Peterborough and should have won the OHL last year? Oh well its why you play the games and just don't mail in the score sheets I guess!

There's nothing I'd wanna be more wrong about than us upsetting LDN as the 8 seed, but I'd never be more shocked in my life than if we pushed them to 6 let alone won, haha.

To young. Not enough talent up front..don't have the goalies capable of going insane & stopping 40/42 every night.

Maybe next yr. Not this yr. Haha.

Seems to be a couple kids rising up the lists including a big 6'4 F with skill. Wouldn't mind him! Haha. Be a nice piece to go with 2 smaller ish guys in Brown Kostuch.

But definitely want a dynamic, fun F. Such a need. Add some fun imports & next year's team will at least be fun & entertaining even if they lose. Unlike right now where it's pretty boring most nights.

Like if next year's team is something like

Brown-Wainwright-Doucette
Kostuch-Filak-Import
1stRD-Import-TBD
TBD-Hall-TBD

Denney/Sim/Doherty/Lominac/Soares/other 2024 draft picks/guys who've developed/FAs then we actually have some excitement. Would have a fun player, or two on every line & a ton of youth.

On D we'd be fun as well with
Fischer-Hurt
Barr-Young
Bridgewater/Omeri/Schneider/2024 picks/guys who've developed.

Be a legitimately fun group to watch & get fans excited for upcoming years.

London dominates Kitchener again.... Draft good, don't mortgage the future and rip off Niagara seems to be the key to success for London lets see if other teams catch on.

It's the O/As I'd be curious

Not super excited to see filak in key role to be honest I've seen him play with burke and voit put up 30pts but linemates voit and burke put up 100pts and 50 goals. This year gets big minutes and vets and barely has more more than 3rd line guys. I struggle to see much upside other than games played

Love doucette good story walk on after attending another OHL teams camp and made team, we have to keep him.

Macdonald is another local boy OA next year not sure what they do with him hoping he grows into that dillingham player still waiting.

Surzicka is OA not sure what do there started Hot and went freezing cold to only get warm now with 20 plus games left. Not much Defense infront of him lots of giveaways but should help him.

That's what I'm looking forward too.

IMO I'd move Filak and Surzycia in the off-season. IMO Filak has proven he can't play centre. And IMO he hasn't shown any improvement this year even playing top 6 and PP all year. Also I have notice since he's been taken off PP1 they've been scoring and since he's been on PP2 now they can't score. Also in terms of Surzycia we need to focus on Maillet and Chartier next year. We need to know what Chartier and Maillet are before we go for it in 25-26 and 26-27. And if they don't turn out then we know to get another goalie. Also with an open OA spot we should focus on getting a top 6 centre which is something we need.

All good points, goalie will be tough they better get maillet up for some games this year also get bridgewater into some games see what he can do
Chartier needs to play as well needs that experience for next season

Saginaw this year reminds me a ton of last years Sarnia team... a bunch of really good players kinda tossed together with questionable goaltending.... Soo basically dominated them tonight.... Be curious what they do next year with Misa and Parekh.

I think our team was better tbh. Del Mastro, Dilly, Mast were such a hard trio to go against on D. Ritchie played above his size, too. While Gaudreau wasn't what we hoped I'd still take him over Oke. Also think we played really good team D.

Saginaw plays all over the place. Always trying to dangle & be cute. Cheating for offense even up 3-0/3-1. But I see what you are saying. I watched tonight too. They couldn't handle SSMs bigger Fs down low & had a terrible time getting to the net. Not a big fan of having Dioncio, Parekh & Donovan either. 3 aggresive, puck dominant Dmen

SSM might have the best shot vs LDN come playoffs.

yeah I agree with all of that... I've also not been impressed with Misa at all ... he gives me big Shane Wright vibes.

He's a weird one. I remember his 1st game here last yr I was like damn. This kids insane. Then every game after that, especially here & especially in the playoffs I was underwhelmed. To be fair to him he was going against EDM who for my money was the league's best Dman. But this yr I haven't been impressed at all in the games vs us & out Dcore ain't what it was! Haha.

Wouldve liked to see Chartier hasn't played in 5 games.
Yah I would've started him tonight. But u can guarantee Letang is looking at this like a must win so he's going with the vet lol.

Probably means Chartier gets Ottawa. Which is stupid. Cause then he'll have 2 starts weeks apart vs SSM&OTT. Not how u give the kid confidence.

It's wild how this guy Letang keeps playing same forward lines. Game after game.
Mix it up, for games like this play wainwright top line and Brown give them someone that can compliment them. Confidence goes a long way.
Will do the same with Chartier let him play Ottawa after riding the pine for 5 games.
Hope Bridgewater gets some help and a regular shift as well.
5on3 PP and we have Sikic, Schwindt, Filak & Doucette out there. Just horrendous. Not one good passer. Not one elite shooter. nobody with high end vision, hands, creativity. Fricken brutal.
This is all coaching, have said it all along Letang is too arrogant to adjust or even change. Insanity is playing same guys over and over and expect different result.
Glad to see moses get slick pass from Wainwright good for them!
