Big game from Evan Maillet tonight, stopped 46/48 and had an assist on the winner in a 3-2 double OT win. His save percentage is up to .917 which is fourth among U18 goalies in the OJHL. Chris Soares also had an assist for JRC. Up to 35 points (18G, 17A) in 45 games

Flint with another W tonight. They're now 4 points up on us. Also Windsor with a big 8-2 W they're now 5 points behind us with a game in hand.
Flint spent quite a few picks to help there chances at playoffs. Realistically be more on them than something we do if they miss. Can't see us winning more than 4or5 more games. Do have 3 left vs them tho.

Love to see that. Stats don't show everything but certainly seems like he's under siege often on his team. Only twice in a start has he faced less than 30 shots. 9 of his 16 starts he's faced 35+. 6 of those 40+ shots.

I wouldn't mind if they gave him a start in one of the 2 games vs WSR next week.

Seems like the ideal time to start him would be in one of our next eight games after tomorrow. WSR, OTT, WSR, OS, ER, GUE, FLT, FLT is our schedule in that span. Unfortunately I doubt we'll see him in that time with the team looking to make the playoffs. Feels more likely that he'll end up getting some starts at the end of the season when we've either clinched or been eliminated. Also just a another question that popped into my head. Has anyone heard what happened with Barr or what his timetable to return is?

Has a cast on his wrist/hand. Believe he broke something blocking a shot.

No Young today so down to 5 D. Looks like Kukumberg or Sim will play and Surzycia starts. I know Surzycia has played well lately but I disagree sitting Chartier for 4 straight.

It's better Surzycia take the rubber in this one dont need chartier getting peppered but typical Letang will plays his 19-20 year old regardless in how they are playing. Going to be heavy ice for them.
Hope young guys don't give up and keep believing in themselves and stick it to the coach.

Hoping for big games from 23 12 10 18 27 72 and no penalties from 13

really wonder what's going on with Kukumberg... injury still nagging him? hopefully will have an impact today as 13th F

feels like at this point sting will almost be forced to potentially use 2 import picks

I'm good going with Nick in net again. He's playing the best he has in months. Chartier last start was vs Soo where he got smoked. No need to let it happen again. Got Windsor twice next week. Let him hopefully get some confidence back vs them.

Buzz getting peppered again.... I don't even wanna think about where this team would be without the goaltending it gets.

Well that was a rough period. Surzycia was really solid, he'd probably like the one goal back but he also made some big saves on D'Intino and Frasca. Could be a lopsided with the Soo already dominating and the Sting playing with 5D. Hopefully I'm wrong

haha you're probably right... Soo are simply the better team by a large margin.

All u can ask for from this team is an honest effort & they're trying today. 5D, 3 of which in their 1st season, Fischer in his 2nd coming off traveling to prospects game. Only down 1 vs one of the better teams.

Honest effort we are getting forsure. Getting lucky on posts but that's hockey.
Keep it close(which they are) would be a big victory just being within a goaland chance to get something in 3rd

Everyone else without sound on this game? Chl network is working for every other game but Sarnia/Soo.

Fischer makes great play & Way has a WIDE OPEN net to tie it late. Shoots it right at the goalie on the other side of the net. Oof.

Doucette was a beast today. Arguably best OHL game. Fischer was a monster. Must've played 35 minutes. Hats off to all the D tho for battling thru & playing fairly structured.

Surzycia was great again. Been his best stretch since the first month. 22 games left.

Sikic also had the chance to give us the lead when Doucette set him up on the PP in the third when it was 2-2. Good game today with a tough result. Quite literally played the Soo even for the last 40 minutes. Each team had two goals and 21 shots. Have to come out of the gate better though. First period was the difference in the game. Ultimately pretty happy with our weekend despite getting just 1/4 points. Two competitive games against good teams. Have to go get some wins in what's the most important stretch of the year over the next eight games

I have it but I'm watching it on tv.

Kostuch, again! This kid is ridiculous. Received a pass in the skates without losing speed then snipes it.
Kostuch has already matched his production from 34 NB games in 9 games here. Him and Brown averaging around .50 ppg is a good sign for us.

I'm not sure we wanna be winning games... playing hard yes but the last thing we need is to sneak into a playoff spot and loose a chance at that 1 pick.
