Good to get the win but not their best game again. Good to see the depth contribute. Limpar-Lantz with the big GWG and Way with another goal. Congrats to Burke on hitting 50! Maybe DBB is next to get a big goal, now sitting at 39 after today's goal. Thought Surzycia was locked in tonight, he had no chance on all three goals. (Tip, breakaway, 2v1 + great shot). PK hasn't been up to snuff lately going 5/8 in the last two games. Needs to be cleaned up. Also can't have lapses like they did at the end of the second. Sure your goal got called back but you can take a 3-1 lead into the intermission if you take care of the puck, the game could have been won handily. Great to see them tighten up defensively in the third though, came out and only allowed 2 shots all period. Tough one upcoming on Tuesday in Owen Sound. Another team that's playing in important games and Sarnia never seems to have success up at the Bayshore. But if the Sting play the way we know they're capable of they should win

Great week for Fischer! 1 assist in all 3 games & goes +5. Del Mastro now on a 7 game point streak where he has 1G & 11A.

The production from the backend is easily one of the bigger X-Factors for this team. When they're buzzing its extremely hard to contain us.

It's such a double edged sword. Obviously, 1st is what we want. But that'll be nearly impossible with WSR&LDN playing twice.

I stand on wanting to avoid WSR RD2 unless their injuries are lengthy. I 100% believe we can beat them but I acknowledge they very well could beat us.

I have a lot more confidence vs LDN. They could beat us for sure, but I think our roster is better. Especially up front.

So say wsr slips that means LDN likely comes 1st & we finish well we'd jump to 2nd then play WSR RD2 (barring an upset) in round 2 just with us having home ice.
I personally think there will be 1 upset in round 1. Flint is playing good and are big and built for playoff hockey. Guelph has been very strong th last 20 games. Kitchener has been slightly better since the head coach was fired and they have all the talent to upset anyone. London hasn’t been playing great the last 6 or 7 games if that continues right into playoffs that could be trouble. Windsor has injuries which could spill over into round 1 which could be trouble for them . And sarnia is sarnia and they could do sarnia things which could be trouble. I really think there will be 1 upset. I just hope it’s not us.

London 88 pts- WSR, WSR, KIT
Windsor 90pts - GUE, LDN, LDN
Sarnia 85 pts - OS, OS, ER, NIA

Still a strong possibility we can finish 1st. If Windsor and London go 1-2 and we sweep our remaining 4, that would do the trick. Easier said then done but with Windsors injuries and London’s play as of late (few injuries as well) and Sarnia’s lighter schedule and hot streak, it’s definitely possible.

Either way, Sarnia will have to go 4-0 at the very least it seems.

What a moment this was. Reaction of the team & that was the loudest I've heard it all yr when they showed on the board it was 50 goals. Just awesome.

To think Burke looked like a depth player at most once upon a time. Just absurd how much he's improved.

To think we all thought he wasn't going to make the team just last season

I think matchups in Round 1 are going to have a huge impact this year in the West. And I agree, I wouldn't be at all surprised if one or two of the lower seeded teams beat any of the top 4.

I remember the uproar when Nolan Dann was moved… sure looks good now, doesn’t it?

I still remember some wanted to keep Hill over Burke at the start of this yr lol

It certainly aged VERY well for Seca. Dann shockingly had a horrible season. Even in Flint he's been mediocre. Truly did not see it coming. He showed so much upside last yr.

Maybe not a hard worker & didn't put work in over the summer & they knew it?

Seca did a masterful job this season. Loved almost every deal he made. A lot of savvy moves, too.

Big ups to Wainwright though because leaving the deadline L3W looked like a major weakness & he's taken a big step & solidified that line w/22&93. Same can be said for Sikic on L2. They've really stepped up.

Ya I think I was one of those idiots debating the Burke/Hill thing at the start lol. Unreal what Burke has done for this team and himself. Most improved player in the league imo.

He's right up there for most improved season to season I've ever seen for Sarnia. To go from depth player to elite top 5 scorer in 12-15 months is insane.

His skating, too. He went from an average skater to an elite one. Such a testament to his work ethic & drive to improve.

Gotta give major props to all 3 OAs, though. All 3 looked like cast offs or depth players at 17, 18 years old. Now, they form one of, if not the best, OA trio in the league. All such pivotal parts to this team on&off the ice.

Really gonna miss watching all 3 once this year ends, which hopefully isn't for awhile yet.

Nice to see Wainwright. I never really thought of it but I'm surprised he doesn't get more PK time. He works hard at his 2way game & is a phenomenal skater + is a solid face-off guy (53%)

Definitely something I'm sure he'll do next yr along with PP time. Not entirely sure his ceiling but I've been happy with his season. Played L4 mainly until Christmas then has really stepped in the L3 role & done well.

I've heard he's an absolute menace in the weight room & in his off season training. Took a huge jump last yr to this yr so hopefully he does the same next yr in a much bigger role.

Actually the author of this information left out a player,Spitfire rookie forward Liam Greentree has scored 25 goals this year and 19 of them non special team goals, 2nd behind fellow 16 year old rookie Kevin He who has scored 20 of his 20 re non special teams.

Ithe list is for guys who've only scored 5on5. No PPGs/SHGs.

Ok,misunderstood the last part.
In addition He with 20 goals is 3rd in rookie scoring for goals tied with Saginaw dman Zayne Parekh, while Spitfire forward Liam Greentree leads all rookies with 25 goals,Michael Misa from Saginaw is 2nd with 22.
He as mentioned above has 20 of 20 goals at even strength to lead the league, and rookies,Greentree 's 19 of his 25 goals is 2nd among rookies for even strength goals.
More impressive both He (25th), and Greentree (34th) were selected in the 2nd round of last year's entry draft.

Has anyone pointed out that the 50 goals is in 55 games? That’s impressive, I was also on the fence about this OA choice at the beginning of the season. I thought he got a spot because our first round pick was his cousin, what a year… I hope the boys can give us fans a long playoff run.
(Haven’t bought a ticket to Kamloops just yet, but I’ll admit I’ve priced it out)

Still, it’s nice of you to take a break from telling fans of other teams to stay off the Spitfires thread to come throw down some Windsor propaganda in the Sting thread even if it’s inaccurate or out of context. 😘
Bro,choose to be happy, why would anyone choose to waste this magical lottery ticket called LIFE,by pissing and moaning about nonsense.
Seriously.....Sigh

Been just an insane yr from him. One of the best we've seen. I know we are supposed to pretend like he never happened but him & voit definitely gave me some Boucher & Sarault vibes.

Just so money together. Always know where the other is.

We are deciding to rest ppl. Del Mastro, Dillingham, Burke, Gaudreau all sitting tonight.

Can't say I agree with it. Win tonight see what happens with Windsor tomorrow then decide to rest guys. U lose tonight & u have no chance.
Yeah interesting choice but I guess it’s good to know they are thinking much larger then just a shot at 1st in the west.

I would have played the full team tonight then rested a few guys on the weekend since they have a 3 in 3. I hope they play gaudreau Friday to keep him in the rythm.

It's hard to be mad at them playing for the ultimate prize haha I just figured they'd play tonight then see what everything looks like come Friday.

But they have the depth to still have a chance. OS without Barlow, too. Hopefully Surzycia can have a solid game he's been fighting it a bit lately IMO.

Got the milestone line too. 96-73-36.
