I knew that guy was a toxic POS.

That's correct. People absolutely ripped soda all season long and now Mrazek is the whipping boy. Crawford never saw massive criticism because they WON and a lot. I think you absolutely have it backwards. Playing for a crappy team is very difficult on a goalie. Getting beat down night after night, and having crappy stats despite playing well is very difficult for any player.
Soda last year and Mrazek this year were/are terrible. That's not being scapegoated because the Hawks were not good, it was the flipping truth.

If Knight can keep the Hawks in games by making the saves he should, that's all most reasonable people here are asking for. He doesn't have to be Hasek v2.0 for fans to appreciate him.

I'd like to thank Seth Jones for demanding a trade and helping us get Knight.

Knight's such a joy to watch and the team plays so much better without you, Seth. I thought you were being selfish going public with your trade demands, but now I know you wanted to do what was best for this team, which is you being off of it.

Maybe I won't boo you if I go to a game that you're playing in.

Actually, I'm still gonna boo ur ass.

Absolutely worth rolling the dice on Knight. I was frustrated with not being involved in the Askarov trade but Knight is a solid consolation prize. Spencer has the most raw skill in the goalie room...we will see what happens.

Hawks probably would've did this deal for a lot less the way things were unfolding, unless they just planned to tell Seth play or get sent home

Consolation prize? Knight has already been much better in the NHL than Askarov while they are only one year apart in both the draft and in age. Draft pedigree and performance in junior tournaments can only prop up Askarovs value as the best goalie prospect for so long.

I have been trying not to hold any negative feelings towards him because I don't blame him for being unhappy here, but honestly what a dork. He was getting paid like Cale Makar to be a mediocre minutes eater on a bottom feeder team. Spare us the martyr narrative
I've had my fair share of rants as a bellweather fan but didn't particularly zero in on Jones and his struggles.
I noticed some gaping errors occasionally on the highlights but chose to focus on the team as a whole.
Having said that, if he is hoing to die on the "martyr" then it was only going to be a matter of time before the divorcie ended in a very nasty way.

Listening to Pat Maroon talk about Seth Jones on Frank Servallis podcast.

He is basically saying that the room wasn't happy with Seths comments after that Utah game, and his comments last night after being a Panther was uncalled for. (Not exact words, but he didn't seem to care for them)

Says he really liked Seth as a player and as a person, but thinks he could have went a different direction with how things went. Doesn't say anything bad about him, but I have a feeling he is holding back and being the classy person he is.

Honestly, I've always liked Knight and Wallstedt as prospects more than Askarov.
Same here. I've never been high on Askarov.

Though I thought Wallstedt was the best goalie prospect in the world... that hasn't turned out so good.
