It’s starting to sound like the Spitfires thread in here, penalty conspiracies and ref bias.
Slow shootout attempts make me die a little inside… come to think of it, shootouts in general.
On to the next game, clean slate.

Sting are not locked in the third spot... Windsor and London play back to back games coming up.... London has been pretty bad lately... they could easily lose both to Windsor and the final vs Kitchener. I think there is a good chance we get 2nd tbh.... I didn't catch the game last night but Sarnia was kind of due for a stinker...Sounds like the refs were bad... I also feel like we were due for that too.... Get that game out of the way... hammer Kingston tonight then get locked in for the Tuesday game in The Sound... thats a huge game...thats a pretty bad bus trip, I always hated it..mid-week game too. Lets see if they can pull it out. The drive for 2nd is not out of the question.
London losing won't help the Sting. London has already clinched their division so the are locked into 1st or 2nd in the conference. Sting have to pass the Spits to get either 1st or 2nd. A tie won't help as the Spits hold the tie breaker. Spits need 3 points to clinch the division or Sting lose 3 points.

Every team thread complains about the refs. Common theme I'm afraid. Spits thread complains about everything so they get called out more.

I think it's the first maybe second time all yr we've really lost it over refs. Was bound to happen but still doesn't make it any better lol.

Wednesday also being a poorly called game probably didn't help. Is what it is now. Still got a point in a game where they played nowhere near their best + had some questionable calls.

The push for 40Ws might get hard. If we dress everybody we'll likely have no issues but good chance guys get rested vs OS, ER, NIA.

I try not to harp on the refs but sometimes it’s so flipping brutal that it’s deserved. Oh well. It’s been like this for years and years. Sometimes they go your way, sometimes they don’t. Still doesn’t make it acceptable but whatever lol.

As for tonight, I expect the boys will take of business and get the win handily. Can’t down play Kingstons desire to try and sneak into that final playoff spot in the east though. Good teams bounce back. Shouldn’t be an issue.

Let's hope the refs r getting them out of their system before playoffs lol.

Burke 1 off 50, Pastujov 1 off 40, DBB 2 off 40, Voit 3 off 100, Kyrou 1 off 20. Gonna be a sold out crowd.

Hopefully, it's a fun night!

Just gotta keep pushing. Tons of looks, couple posts…stay the course and they’ll start going in.

Now I'm whining but wtf is going on this week. That's a garbage call. Completely changed the game. Should be 4-1

Also calling that a follow thru on the Pastujov high stick was highly questionable too!

Team was rolling until that call. Gotta wake back up.

Most energetic crowd this yr. Place is buzzing. Be nice if we didn't lose lol.

They controlled the entire game. The disallowed goal then ensuing 2SHGs made it looks a lot closer. 4 posts too.

But definitely seems like some complacency set in yesterday & tonight. Still 12-0-3 in their last 15 which is fantastic. Also read we have only lost ONCE in regulation to a western conference team since JAN 1st.

Idk who pissed 77 off in that 2nd intermission but he came out in the 3rd looking for blood! He was destroying guys left & right. Think he's been saving that for playoffs lol.

Loved L3s game. They've been buzzing for awhile just haven't had much finish. Nice to see them get GWG. Wainwright has been awesome for a bit now IMO.

Way continues to be really solid for us & I thought Doherty had his best game in the O.

Amazing crowd tonight. Best of the yr imo. Crazy what winning does. Entire vibe is different. Onto the final week of the season!

See how Letang runs the lineup now. Windsor lost which leaves the door slightly open, but it's still unlikely.

They are very banged up & play GUE, LDN, LDN. So 1-2 could be very possible. Even 0-3 isn't out of the question with their injuries although Maggio is a freak of nature.

Gotta win Tuesday vs a tough OS team then see what they do WED vs GUE I guess. Imagine they weren't just terrible at OT/SO. They'd be in the driver seat probably.

Gotta think Sarnia has a decent chance considering the schedule and how dominant Sarnia has been. If Spitfires still only have 7 forwards it's a real possibility. At least the final three gamees will be exciting for Sarnia, London, and Windsor fans.

It's such a double edged sword. Obviously, 1st is what we want. But that'll be nearly impossible with WSR&LDN playing twice.

I stand on wanting to avoid WSR RD2 unless their injuries are lengthy. I 100% believe we can beat them but I acknowledge they very well could beat us.

I have a lot more confidence vs LDN. They could beat us for sure, but I think our roster is better. Especially up front.

So say wsr slips that means LDN likely comes 1st & we finish well we'd jump to 2nd then play WSR RD2 (barring an upset) in round 2 just with us having home ice.

Getting 1st isn't out of the question but for sure it would be tough. To lay out the exact scenario the Sting would need to win all in 4 games next week in regulation or overtime, WSR would have to collect 2 or less points in their last three games (vs. GUE, at LDN, vs. WSR), and then LDN would need to not win all three games next week (vs. WSR, at WSR, vs. KIT). A lot would have to break our way for sure but not impossible

Thanks for breaking it down! It honestly isn't the farthest stretch to see it happening. WSR could easily struggle w/the injuries & LDN playing a 3in3 ending vs a hungry KIT team.
