Bad goaltending by the sting in this one. I do think the sting have been trying to be abit to pretty at times. Get shots in from the point and get a tip or rebound. They try and dangle at the blue line sometimes it works sometimes not but you can’t get into these dumb habits playing these weaker teams then go and do them against a better team and get smoked.

Why isn't Ben starting? This is 2 games in a row now for Surzycia. If Ben is hurt why is he on the bench? Baffling.... Ben finally gets in a groove and is sat? Someone take Letang aside and tell him to get out of the way.

Solid win. Their goalie played unbelievably well. Could've been another double digit outing if not for him.

Vilmanis was a man on a mission tonight. I can't believe he went pointless. When he's playing like he has been he can be an absolute game changer. Thought Wainwright was really buzzing too. Good scoring from all over & defensively allowed next to nothing

Dillingham with 2 more brilliant hits tonight. The Soo guys just never learned u don't chirp him. Telling none of them ever stepped up either.

Another good crowd despite the weather. Love it. Onto Kitchener to try & make it 7 in a row.

Ivanov prevented this game from being a blowout. He made 5-6 monster saves easily. Surzycia wasn’t good but still had a few big ones. Interesting choice to start him again but had Ben played, it’s likely wouldn’t have ever gotten close on the scoreboard like it at one point. Agree about trying to be a bit too pretty. Team plays so much better when they keep it simple. They don’t need to force things…there’s so much talent it will just naturally happen.

I just don't see ANY reason for sitting Gaudreau if he's healthy & wanting to play. If he's hurt, sick or wanted a break then 100% fine.

For me, he's a confidence based goalie. He's on fire. Let him keep cranking out good performances & wins & get that confidence higher & higher.

I worry you sort of ice him or take him out of the rhythm he's in.

I just think it was so easy it's hard not to get fancy. Soo let us do whatever we wanted & props to Ivanov who made some ridiculous saves which can make u wanna pass it in at times.

Do worry it could become a habit with the level of our opponents after Sunday.

Also how about that Del Mastro goal? Good lord that was sweet.

19-5-2 in 2023. 11-1-1 at home. 4 of the 7 Ls were by 1 goal. 132 goals for to 68 goals against for a +64 goal differential.

Been an outstanding run by the boys.

Hoping everything is all good with Ben. No clue what's going on there. Still weird to me that he didn't start in Windsor last Saturday but tonight would have been a logical Surzycia start anyway. Hopefully he just needed some rest after a long stretch of tough games

Windsor beats KIT 6-3, but it was a much tighter game. KIT lead 3-2 fairly late before 2 quick ones then 2 ENGs.

Would've been huge had they held on. 8 up now & we have 2 in hand. Would be rather unlikely we pass them now unfortunately.

Intrigued to see KIT tomorrow. Definitely seem to have found their footing.

I highly doubt we pass them, and frankly I couldn’t care less if we do. More pressure on windsor in playoffs being the division champs. Let’s just play hard and work on our game as much as we can before playoffs and let things fall into place.

Well had plans to come down for the game but a bit of a sickness prevented that. Hopefully the boys are ready for a battle. Kitchener has come alive it seems so it should be a more telling game of where they are at and how we match up with them. Real possibility that this could be a 1st round match up. Not sure what Kitchener would prefer for a 1st round match up between us, London and Windsor but I’m banking on it being us for historical reasons lol. They should be hungry for a win after last night too.

Hoping Ben is ok and is the obvious starter. Should be an entertaining game. First goal will be a big one.

Ahh that stinks. Gaudreau starts. Same lines, pairs as Friday.

Not sure how that Kitchener goal counted. Fooled me, Terry Doyle and Barry Wright lmao. Looked clearly offside from the replays on the broadcast. Whatever. Fluke goal. Doucette’s gotta let Ben play that one. His glove is a little bigger and he’s actually allowed to catch the puck and hang onto it lol.

Sarnia is looking sharp. Some great looks. Passing is on point. Man, this team looks unreal lately. Love it.

45!! for Burke…..as I type this 46!!! Hahahaha

Man the top 6 is FEELING it! What puck movement. DBB especially is looking phenomenal. Burke is so automatic.

Was that not obvious offside? Pinelli never tagged up before it crossed the blue line. Doucette owes Ben a dinner with his blunder on the goal lol.

Sarnia player pushed the puck into the zone. Didn’t matter where the KIT player was.
This is the best hockey I’ve ever seen this franchise play.
Agree, no drama in the 3rd please.

Clinical. Beautiful. Systematic. Whatever word u wanna use, that was a terrific game from the Sting.

Didn't let either flukey goal (1st & 3rd) bother them. If anything, they pushed harder, which is exactly what you wanna see.

The Top-6 was dominant. KIT simply had no answer for either line. B6 did a great job down low, along the boards.

Gaudreau was really solid. 2 crap luck ones & a defensive breakdown for the goals. The extended break did not hurt clearly.

This team is special. Really goddamn special. Have never seen a Sting team play better. It's phenomenal to watch.

That’ll do! Fitting that Vilmanis gets the empty netter, deserved that one.

7 in a row, points in the last 12 games…peaking at the right time I’d say!

Good game today, 3/3 on PP and perfect on the PK. Special teams continue to be a huge feat for this team. Good outing for Benny. Couple big time saves in a timely manner. Still thought he looked a tad off though, like he wasn’t 100%. Voit was on a mission tonight. Buzzing in all 3 zones. What a nice defensive play at the end and then springs Sandis for the EN goal. Burke is gonna hit 50! Still dumbfounded at his production…gotta be the most improved player in the league. Full credit to Sarnia on the development of Burkie, they can definitely take the credit for what appears to be a bright pro career ahead for him. This is by far the best hockey team I’ve seen in Sarnia since I’ve been a fan. Gonna be a fun ride!

Also, If I’m not mistaken, Sarnia has the #1 power play in the league after todays game. To think it was dead last at the halfway point of the season. Unreal :amazed:
Simply to much talent for it not to be elite. i mean jesus christ its gonna have three 40 goal scorers, and 80 (!!) Assist player & for my money, the league's best defenceman.

The puck movement is a treat to watch. They're using all 5 guys & teams have no idea what to do to stop it. On the bench they're always talking & going over plays with Haley.

Another good crowd too. How I wish we did anything other than the wave though!! Haha.

Just so f*cking fun man. We've been the laughing stock for so long & had nothing to be happy about & we are FAR from doing anything, but this team is phenomenal.

I sat behind some KIT fans & after it became 5-1 I heard the 1 guy go "this is the last team we wanna see Round 1" & that's honestly the 1st time I've ever heard it without an immense amount of sarcasm when referring to Sarnia lmao.

They are a freight train when rolling & if you don't get off the tracks they run u the F over. Including other good teams. Been one helluva 2 month stretch that I truly hope doesn't end for awhile yet.
