Outside of the little letdown in the second, that was excellent from the Sting. I was thinking about this during the game after the DBB 2nd PP goal. We have so many different threats on the 1st unit. Up top you have Del Mastro who has a huge slapshot and is a willing distributor. Then at the circles you have Voit, the best passer in the league, and Pastujov one of the best shooters from distance. Then at the bumper you have DBB, another great shooter. Finally, we have the best net front scorer in Burke. On our second unit, we still have NHL draft picks in Kyrou and Vilmanis. An embarrassment of riches! Awesome effort overall tonight. The boys responded and finished off London in the third. Another pretty goal by Vilmanis. I swear every goal of his is one for the highlight reel. Gaudreau was steady all night long again, stopped 23/24, didn't have to stop a ton but the biggest save was that McGurn breakaway in the first when it was still scoreless. Hopefully they don't get high on themselves after this game, I want to see the type of game against Windsor tomorrow night too. If the Sting win tomorrow night, they put themselves back into the race for the West Division crown. Let's keep it going!

I thought that was DelBelBelluz' best game with us. I was a tad skeptical at first as he seemed really passive, but the more he's played it seems like maybe it was just nerves or feeling the team out.

He's been unreal the last 10-15 games. Has such a sick release & his accuracy is seriously slept on. He has it in the slot & my money is on it going in. Has adjusted to that bumper spot beautifully.

Gonna have three 40 goal guys. Voit who's been Top 2 all yr in points. Vilmanis as u said is ridiculous. He's a total x-factor. Filak, Sikic, Lantz are such reliable, versatile T9 guys. Wainwright has been awesome ever since u asked for a breakout game from him a couple weeks back haha.

Way has been an awesome 4C. Doucette isn't gonna produce but knows his role & sticks to it, Anderson too (thought this was his best game in a few weeks)

I mentioned it after the deadline that maybe we don't have the 9th, 10th Fs that are as good as LDNs/WSRs, but our D will make up for it. Obviously we gotta see it in the playoffs but our Dcore is VERY productive & phenomenal at transitioning quickly.

This team has every quality you want in a contender. Execution will decide how far they go cause they can go all the way & I believe that.

This was some bush league stuff by Leonard. Thankfully Kyrou looked okay. Wish Dillingham, Del Mastro, Anderson, Way, Hoover (if playing) saw it.

I'd send it to the league cause its predatory & dangerous. Nowhere near it. Hadn't had it in 5-6-7-8 seconds. Still ate the ice too lol. Cheap.

Last thing from me as it's only one game haha, but I really liked the business like attitude tonight.

They didn't chirp, they didn't showboat after goal, didn't entertain the nonsense & when it ended no big celebration. Act like you expected it & like you've been here before.

Just know some prior sting teams would get really carried away if they won like that vs an elite ldn team. Was nice to see. Shows great leadership.

London
Ive been following this board for a couple of weeks and Ive got yo say, you guys live on a rollercoaster. From sheer pessimism to overwhelming jubilation. There is no in between. Fun place you got here.

Hats off to the Sting, just plain outtworked the Knights in all aspects of the game tonight. I dont think London had a chance to get off the bus.

Like I stated before, I really like the makeup if your team. Just hope Gaudreau stays healthy.

It's the Sarnia way, man lmao. How could we not be on/off with our history. I've always remained confident in the upside of this group & I think most have they can just be VERY frustrating at times.

Look forward to the game tomorrow although it seems WSR is getting hit by the injury bug at a very poor time. LDN has 1 heck of a squad too. Dale has them playing some terrific hockey (outside tonight haha). If we do meet I hope it's one for the ages. Criminal LDN/SAR haven't met.

Great Friday night victory by the Sting. Finally outplayed the Knights by not taking their foot off the gas, getting the puck to the net, and playing great team defence in the third period. Good luck to the Sting tomorrow against a banged up Windsor Spitfires team.

Watching a bit of the intermission where they show the player interviews & man, I feel for Hoover.

Fluke concussion then the exact day he got cleared he got mono... couldn't be around the team for almost 2 months then comes back for 1.5 week then hurts his shoulder in PBO & missed a month + now he somehow is hurt again.

The absolute worst luck. Have really enjoyed his game & enthusiasm. Hopefully he can be 100% by game 1 though if he isn't I have all the confidence in Fischer who's been awesome.

lol I am guilty of this... I just want the team to do well so it's frustrating when we toss up a dud.

I love Fischer hard to believe he’s 16 at times with his responsible play and height. He’s so steady and plays a simple effective game but at the same time you can tell he’s got skills and is going to blossom into a good two way defenceman in a year or two.

So do I. Honestly been blown away by him. I legitimately can't think of 1 time I thought oh man Fischer really cost us that one.

He's so composed for a 16 yr old. Letang clearly has great confidence in him as he plays late into the 3rd every game. Definitely a guy NHL scouts have written down for next yr.

he's not as good as Fischer, but I quite like Young, too. excellent skater, moves it well & has really improved his defensive play. Both will play a ton the next few years.

Sting are not a team id want to play in the playoffs. Must be the best in teh league when there going
Think there's a few teams who probably feel that way. Some real good teams on both sides.

Can't wait to watch the playoffs unfold. Should be some really entertaining hockey.

Hopefully, the squad makes it down to Windsor okay. Spits are a bit banged up it seems, but as they showed vs LDN they are still very capable.

Maggio, Wright, Christopolous can take over the game. Gotta be on our defensive game & make them pay because they do give up a fair bit of chances.

Fingers crossed they play with the same level of intensity as they did last night & there's no fall off.

Wow Surzycia starts tonight. I can't say I agree with that decision at all. It's the last meeting w/WSR. If you win you have a shot at the division. Don't play for a week & only play twice next week & gave him the start in Ssm.

His biggest test so far & a sign of trust from the coaches. See how he does.

Yah not thrilled with that decision but certainly deserved at the very least. Might be a sign of the Sting potentially starting to rest some guys here and there heading into the playoffs.

The Spitfires thank you for the win last night. I expect another Sting win. Spitfires get nobody back from injury and add Peer to the injury list. Going with 8 forwards and have defenseman playing on the 3rd forward line. Spitfires playing 3rd game in 3 nights is tough with the short lineup, I think Maggio and Wright played close to 30 minutes last night. I was looking forward to this one, but not so much anymore lol.

Coaches decision or did Gaudreau possibly tweak something last night?

He's backup so I think it's just coaches. Gaudreau was rather enthusiastic in the post game celly so don't think anything is tweaked.

I'd understand it if we were 9-10-11 points back & it's still unlikely but if we win tonight we have a chance. Our schedule is ridiculously easy after tonight & WSR has LDN 2 more times, GUE x2, KIT & now are fighting some injuries.

Still a more than capable lineup as shown vs LDN & even last night u guys took it to FLT in the 2nd & 3rd.

Will definitely be a battle for u guys but definitely not counting u out, especially at home where you've been so dominant.

Meh, Sarnia is the hottest team in the league. This lineup isn't more than capable lol, not to mention for some reason Savard is starting the backup, I think he's surrendering this one. First in the division could get interesting if this is the Spitfires lineup against next weekend.
