Only saw the first period but a great win! Really wasn't expecting a win this weekend so getting this is huge

I wish I was joking, but Dillingham hurt his shoulder again tonight.. Around 6 minutes left in the 3rd he took a harmless hit into the boards & immediately knew he hurt it. Looked up at the roof & shook his head in disbelief it seemed. Went back to the bench & sat with his head down for a minute or two then left.

You seriously can not make it up & it's a serious issue now. For him to be hurting it so easily more than likely means it's bad & could very well mean it needs surgery but he's putting it off since it's his last year. I feel so bad for the kid. Such an honest, hard working player & he can not catch a break.

It puts Seca in a terrible spot as at some point he might have to sit down with him & say we simply cant afford to have an OA spot & top-4 spot on D taken by somebody who is so likely to get hurt. It fricken sucks as I love what he brings but it's a sad reality if they wanna win.

Make matters worse MacDonald never returned so we lost 2D tonight because of f*cking course we did. Have run out of words to describe our luck this season.
Even when we win, we lose

That socks especially when he was starting to play some really good hockey. I have the feeling that we will have to move on from him. That raises the question if we do move on do we go get another OA dman or a forward.

If they decide to move on my wishlist would be lead by Morrison in Hamilton. Elite #1 Centre. Good on draws, ton of experience coming off a championship & you could make "line 2" him Pastujov & Vilmanis..... our top-6 would be utterly ridiculous.

Plus OAs so rarely cost roster players. Be 4or5 picks which is great. Then they look around for a solid 18 or 19 yr old D. Could dangle Daviault + picks, or just picks depending on the level of Dman. OA D market is pretty weak past 2or3 guys as well.

Well looky looky, London knoghts have crept up like a preying panther and moved into first place after starting off not so hot. 85 goals against is very impressive. No doubt , as is what seems like every season will be the team to beat. Can the sting compete with the big bad knights? Doubt it. We have no luck this year. Too many injuries, bad luck or lack of training? Either way, should be interesting to see what Seca does after the Xmas break

Besides for their top Dman being out at the start of the year they have been one healthy club, completely different for us. Team made a good trade bringing in a OA who has completely run their offence since arriving and brochu has slowly got better as the year has gone on. Also much better coaching down there. Both teams healthy I think we beat them. As for dillingham getting hurt I agree get Morrison from hamilton to solidify the top 6 and go after a 19 year old defenceman. If I was Seca those would be no brainer moves to me and I’d jump on it asap.

Yah unfortunately we can’t keep a valuable OA spot on the IR for 90% of the games played so far this season. It sucks huge, no doubt about it. Love the Morrison idea and it makes sense. We will need more to replace the Dillingham loss on the blue line though. Truly unbelievable these injuries….

Hunter is the run away coach of the yr so far. Very impressive work he's done this year. Be interesting to see what they do at the deadline.

Dillingham is in today. Surprised but scared honestly. Hopefully was just a stinger. See how he holds up..

Surzycia starts again. Gets all 3. Safe to say Grover has no future here. They very clearly have ZERO faith in him.

MacDonell listed as an extra F. So he's gonna give it a go.. Vilmanis not playing. Assume he's off to WJC. He will be sorely missed.

Short handed goal a crap-tastrophe. Sikic falls, Surzycia fans on a basically weak shot.
This game is a hot mess. No reason sting can’t win it.

They have nothing left. Forwards especially look exhausted. Didn't love the 2nd or 3rd goal (bad rebound) but Surzycia also looked gassed. Getting up slow after whistles, taking longer breaks to catch his breath

No jump, no energy, no physicality, no board battle wins. Lack of chemistry is clear as well. Break can't come soon enough for this group.

Just had nothing today. Looked like a team that left it all out there yesterday. Especially the top guys.

Honestly didn't like the 2nd, 3rd or 4th goal for Surzycia. Hate to put any blame on him when u only score one but had he saved those who knows how it goes. Big ups to him though for playing all 3 games. Definitely looked fatigued today. Says a lot about Grover he couldn't get a start imo

Helluva hit by Dillingham at the end but he denied the fight because his shoulder. Was watching him all game & he was constantly shrugging it out & looked in pain a few times. Not great.

Gotta split these next 2 games & finally & I mean finally get this break & get healthy for the first time since opening night...

The injuries really seem to get us on the backend of these 3 in 3's. Gave up 42 shots last Sunday vs Barrie and only had 19 shots today vs Peterborough

Have to sort of expect that. Especially when the previous two were Flint. Such highly emotional, rivalry games.

Saw Pastujov at the game today. Hopefully just held him out because he didn't feel 100% right as nothing looked wrong.

Wonder if they don't want to risk it with Pastujov and just have him come back to the lineup after the break

I have to give PBO credit - they played a very good defensive game. Found a way to neutralize Voit. The 3-in-3 was a killer; Sting were second man to the puck all game. Obviously whipped.

Might be the fastest team I've seen. Part of that mightve been cause we played slow, but they have some speedy guys.

Shocking how poor they've played since acquiring Othmann because they have as much talent as anybody in the league.

Definitely looked like they were spent after last night. Still could've had a shot had Surzycia come up with some of those goals. Can't say I agree going back to him, but it would've been a tough, tough spot for Chartier to be put into

How can anyone put the blame on Surzycia for this game, they were out shot 37-19 hung out to dry numerous time. This kid comes in as the back up goalie stands on his head and is insulted like this. And had a JR, C team in front of him.

I personally didn't like goals 2, 3 or 4. Why I said originally I hate to put any blame cause he did make some nice saves but I'm sure he'd say himself it should've been 1-1 or at most 2-1.

Also think he was fatigued. Probably hasn't played a 3in3 as a goalie in sometime. Gotta be tiring.

Not enough attention is being giving to this god awful power play of ours. 19th in the league at 19%. I'm failing to find an excuse for it? anyone?
A couple things come to mind for me.
First, no big shot from the point. Ritchie has the best on the team and it is mediocre at best.
Second, Vilmanis shooting from the Stamkos office isn’t accurate enough on the one timer.
Third, too many cute high risk plays at the blueline result in short handed breakaways.
Fourth, not much presence in front of the net to screen and deflect. MacDonell is the only one who gets in there to do that and he’s not much of a screen. L-L isn’t effective in that role.
Fifth, I’d like to see them shoot more and charge for rebounds.
That’s my 2 cents, but what do I know… I’m an old goalie.

Simple fix. We need more people in the crowd to yell "SHOOOOOT!"

Seriously though, it's scary when as a fan, you're always worried about the shorthanded goal. You're right, there's not enough offensive danger on the blueline. No hard/accurate shot, or the ability to snap it around quick enough for a 1-timer when the PK is shifting. 19% isn't going deep in the playoffs.
This is all easier said than done, it takes a lot of practice; but when they're all healthy this has to improve.
(so it might not)

Gaudreau stops 17/19 shots in his game at Canada's selection camp today. Final cuts are happening later today. Two of the four goalies will be cut according to Mark Masters
