Have to agree with everything except the Fischer comment. From my seat, this was his worst game. Looked to me that he was responsible for giveaways on 2 of the goals, both a result of being a little weak on the stick. Other than those 2 occasions, he was pretty solid. Good future ahead.
The game itself was typical of the Sting season… fall behind in the first, claw back, then oops…
Feels like they’ve spent the whole season chasing the game.
Strangely enough, I think they will do ok Saturday & Sunday. Just need a couple of showstopper saves to bail out the defensive lapses.
Honestly didn't see that with Fischer. Saw Daviault's bad one, Way's bad one & Romeo's. Have to go back & watch them.

I agree I'm just not sure they'll get the saves whether it's Grover or Chartier it's a brutal spot to be put into

We are right there with you guys. Almost 80 just from our defence. Been our best guys too (outside Ritchie)

OS would be one of the few who could handle it. Great depth. Great roster.
It is taking its toll.

I think all but two games played with 10 or 11 forwards.

Fischer kinda set up Way for failure… gave him the pass when there was a guy there waiting to pick Way’s pocket.
On Flint’s 4th, he had pretty good control in the corner and got beat for the puck.
But, hey, as a 16 yr old, you do 16 yr old things once in a while.

Feel that. We ran 3 D for a week than ran 4D for a few weeks then we finally get some back & now we are down 3 T6 Fs. Been relentless. Both our teams need this Christmas break, badly.

Yeah I see what you mean now. He played awesome in the 3rd, but had his bumps in the first 40. Still so impressed by his composure. Gonna be an absolute stud for us. Scouts are gonna be drooling over him his draft year. Has a lot of what you want in a D prospect.

After starting with only 1 point in his first 7 games, Martone has 9 in his last 15. Been awesome since returning from the U17s. Such an energetic fun player.

Since returning from his injury Filak has also been really good. 11 points in 14 games + all the other great work he does down low, out front, on the PK & annoying the opponent. Honestly one of my favourites on the team.

I wonder why Legwand couldn't come in for the absent Letang during this stretch of games? An extra set of eyeballs on the bench shouldn't hurt considering this is Haley's 1st year of OHL coaching. Oh and get Sikic off the 1st line and get Filak back there

Man flints announcer has to be the biggest homer while calling a fight. Ya Macdonald lost his fight. But he tried saying dillingham got one punch in then Hay throttle him the rest of the fight. Dillingham one that fight no questions asked. 4-0 with a completely depleted roster.

I have a feeling sting lose this game, early lead then they will blow it by taking dumb penalties time and time again.

Well that was something lol. What an outbreak. Ridiculous Klinkhammer didn't get an instigator for the MacDonald fight. He threw 3or4 punches before MacDonald even had his gloves off.

What a hit & what a scrap for Dillingham. Massive save by Surzycia at the end of the period to keep it 4-1. Where's this Wainwright been! He's been fantastic the last 4 periods w/11&22

This one definitely ain't over lol

That’s a start. That Dillingham fight was unreal. Couple massive bombs tossed. Haven’t seen a big one like that in a while.

Sikic taking all the shit talking on here personally lol. He’s a beast tonight. Couple slick feeds for Burke’s goals.

Sarnia needs to calm things down a bit. Flint is going to get a little extra chippy and we cannot afford to be giving out power plays with our goaltending and below average PK.

Shut up lol

Blatant trip on MacDonald before that goal. What do we gotta do to get a PP vs these guys. Seriously. So obvious

Hit from behind???????? Reffing has been a joke tonight.

Gotta close this out. Have to.

Big holding called missed on Vilmanis in the first, it would have sent him in on a partial breakaway. I don’t know how you can’t call that I don’t care what the score is.

The reffing had been pretty solid up until the last few weeks. I don't know what's up but the only way we r getting PPs is if our guys get killed & even then they haven't called some dangerous hits the last 2 nights.

Absolutely nothing happened & it bounces over Dillingham's stick & now it's a game. Gonna be a long 13 minutes

What a win. Seriously. Down Pastujov, Mast, MacDonell, Lantz, Hoover, Gaudreau they beat one helluva team in their barn.

Excellent, excellent stuff. Surzycia was outstanding in that 3rd period. Some HUGE saves. Love how hard he battles.

Top-6 was phenomenal tonight. Filak line (outside penalty) was utterly dominant. Loved Romeo's game.

No doubt Flint wasn't on their B game let alone A game but down how much we are that's fantastic stuff. See what tomorrow brings

Flint definitely with an off game but none the less, impressive win for the boys!

Surzycia was fantastic. Couple absolute massive saves at very important parts of the game. Man, Burke and Vilmanis have been studs this weekend. Both with 5 pts in the two games vs Flint. Vilmanis does so much more away from the puck that deserves credit. Burke’s “workhorse” like approach to the game has been a big shot in the arm for this team after missing a bunch of games. Props to Sikic who played his best game as a Sting in my opinion. Not too much to complain about other than some mindless penalties and a few cough ups.

Don’t think any of us were expecting a win so I’d say it was a good night for Sting nation lol.

MacDonald never returned so add another guy to the list. Daviault has become a complete adventure in his own end. He's gone away from all the things that made him good as a rookie. Hopefully the break does him well to reset.

Fischer +3. Was great up until his tough bounce on the 5-3 goal. Romeo's best game of the Yr IMO. Ritchie was dancing.

Quiet night for Voit but Sikic picked up his slack! Finally a big PT night for Marko who never stops working & does so many things for this team (except score lmao)

Be great to get Lantz back tomorrow cause my god we can't win a damn face off without him

Vilmanis is unbelievable. He has pro written all over him. If he can just figure out how to hit the net consistently.. animal.

So right about Burke. He does everything for this team & he really wakes up for these games vs rivals. Haven't seen someone develop the way he has in awhile for us. Absolute stud.

I wish I was joking, but Dillingham hurt his shoulder again tonight.. Around 6 minutes left in the 3rd he took a harmless hit into the boards & immediately knew he hurt it. Looked up at the roof & shook his head in disbelief it seemed. Went back to the bench & sat with his head down for a minute or two then left.

You seriously can not make it up & it's a serious issue now. For him to be hurting it so easily more than likely means it's bad & could very well mean it needs surgery but he's putting it off since it's his last year. I feel so bad for the kid. Such an honest, hard working player & he can not catch a break.

It puts Seca in a terrible spot as at some point he might have to sit down with him & say we simply cant afford to have an OA spot & top-4 spot on D taken by somebody who is so likely to get hurt. It fricken sucks as I love what he brings but it's a sad reality if they wanna win.

Make matters worse MacDonald never returned so we lost 2D tonight because of f*cking course we did. Have run out of words to describe our luck this season.
