Yah it's tough. Not many options left. Not many assets left. Hopefully somebody comes calling last minute with a player for semi cheap
I’m just thinking, we get 1 or 2 forwards injured for a bit in playoffs and it’s all over because our forward depth isn’t that great.

Yah it's definitely something that could cost us. There's also a chance we are at 30 player cards used & can't add another.

If you really wanna know how low our bar is for the Sting organization go look at London's board who are mad about it being 7 years without a deep playoff run 😂😭😭
I’ve been creeping that thread all night, great entertainment. They’re a passionate bunch…. I know they get a lot of grief but I actually enjoy it when they come to town, great atmosphere.

I've never had issues with LDN fans really. Some a bit more obnoxious than others especially when a few beers get in them but every fan base has those.

I just hated how bloody cocky some of there teams used to be. Sure they had a right too at times but some of them were overboard as heck. Especially when it's the guys who pulled the "I'll only go to London" card.

They've been getting 9K a game for 15 years how can u not respect that aspect. I wish we had that type of fan base (a good product goes a long way!!!)

75,000 people in Sarnia, London 400,000 not to mention surrounding populations. London should by rights have an AHL Team? Considering the Sting playoff history you all do somewhat decent perhaps?

Spot on. We support it better than I think most would with our history. I honestly thought we'd be in major trouble coming out of covid. Older city so that some would stop going. Add in the team was bad & we couldn't win at home & I thought we were toast

Props to Hatcher & Legwand though. They sunk some serious money into this team. In arena environment, work is unbelievable compared to how it was. Done some great work on the walls, video board, ribbon around the boxes etc. L

Seems to be a real buzz growing now which is great. Some great crowds lately & tickets already going fast for upcoming home games. Hopefully just once they can give us multiple rounds of playoff hockey. Honestly get chills thinking about a fully sold out building for a championship series.

Thanks for the shout out !
I mean no harm. Just puts into perspective how low our bar is on our side haha. I'm a Patriots fan & after 20 years of sustained greatness I had a similar feeling to the team. U begin to expect it every year & when they don't anything else is a disappointment.

Hey man. No harm no foul and especially no offence taken.

Wright to LDN for Miedema, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th & a NCAA kid. Wow. what a trade for them. How did nobody outbid that. What the hell would it have been for us? Martone & a 2nd? Wowza.

What a squad they have over there now. See if London goes hunting after someone else before noon tomorrow. Praying they don't hit up Flint for Lombardi lol.

Geez that is not a great return for Kingston. Windsor gets even more dangerous. Has anyone seen what the return to SAG might be for Mintyukov?

IMO Wright is just meh... Don't get me wrong he is good but he's so underwhelming. I like our deal with Missy better than this. I am more happy he didn't go to London. As of right now, in my opinion, Sarnia are the lead dogs in the west followed very closely by London. Ottawa are the clear favs in the east followed by PTBO. I really don't think Windsor got a ton better... they weren't one guy away like London.

Assume you mean WSR but damn. Windsor pretty terrifying up front.

I don’t know man. He still gonna score like 30 goals before year end for Windsor. His addition puts them over the top for #1 in the west. London will still keep winning regardless of if they add anything further or not. We are a bit too far behind to catch either unfortunately. Saginaw will drop like a fly now that Minty went east. WSR, LDN, SAR finish for top 3. PBO, OTT, NB east imo.

I have mixed feelings on it. I wonder how realistic getting Wright & Del Mastro could've been. If it was possible I would've preferred that (obviously) & we would've been freakishly good. If you get a fired up, wanting to prove ppl wrong Wright he'll take over a series. But I do agree he can be a bit lazy, passive & frustrating. Very pleased with Del Bel Belluz though don't get me wrong.

Luckily we got a guy like Del Mastro just for somebody like him. I have WSR ahead of LDN personally. Still 14 hours left, but LDN needs that boom player up front. I like Diaco (yes ik he did well in HAM but they were super stacked), Barkey, Cowan, Humphrey, Gazizov, McCue but can u count on them to score consistently in the playoffs?

They have 7 Fs under 6 foot. All play meaningful minutes. I wonder how they'll hold up vs' the Del Mastro's Mast's, Hoover's, Dillingham's of the world. Their defence & goaltending are superb & can 100% take them all the way. Not saying they cant I just have some doubts (never doubt LDN I know lol)

If we get the Ben Gaudreau that we know we can get then I love our chances. It's the biggest if maybe in the OHL right now though.

getting WAY to ahead of myself & I'm crazy for thinking we'd win lol but if it went 1. WSR, 2. LDN, 3. SAR we'd get LDN over WSR round 2 which I'd much prefer after today. As of now anyways. Who knows how all these rosters will mesh, just on paper how I see it.

I do think we will be able to score on Windsor which is good but their F depth is the best in the conference without a doubt. Not much have we seen LDN, WSR, SAR all going for it. It's fun. Should make for quite the rivalry games whenever 2 meet.

Wright was on pace for about 103 points in the OHL last year as a 17-year-old. He had 4 points in 5 games in the AHL this year. He's definitely not meh lol. I do have Sarnia head of London now. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Sarnia Windsor meeting in the 3rd round.

For sure he will likely score a lot... I'm just not the biggest fan.. Windsors defence is meh and so is their goaltending... but I guess our goaltending is worse than meh. I like Sarnia's offence and defence more than Windsor's but I guess we will see.

end of the day all these rosters are stacked. I honestly think ours has the most potential if Gaudreau plays to the level he can, but im sure WSR ppl feel the same way with their goalies & LDN does with some of their Fs.

Don't rule out Kitchener either. I know they're sputtering but they've been hammered by injuries. OHL champion goalie, veteran defence with some explosive Fs. they're the last team (outside LDN, WSR) I wanna see round one & I think there's a strong chance we could see them if we get to that 3 seed lol

maybe meh was the wrong way to describe him. I just feel like you always expect more from him and don't get it. He's solid and will help for sure. I just dont think hes that guy.

And don’t forget the late trade we made this evening…this could put us over the top!
