Yah I'm fine not getting him. There's only so much puck to go around & you'd be putting Arcuri or Pastujov on PP2 which just shouldn't happen for what they costed.

+ as we've talked it would be another skillful/finesse type player when we need a little grit.

Hope we all know this is leading to us playing Kitchener in the playoffs who "are better than their record indicates" & us losing because for some reason KIT always beats us when we have a team we think can do damage

I think we do. Can't have 6 skill guys as your T6. Somebody needs to win battles, get to the net, block a shot etc.

Still want a C no doubt. List is becoming very short & very pricey. It very well may cost MacDonell & I'm not sure it's worth it.

See what Seca can do. Freeze begins on the 19th to the 27th. Deadline is on the 10th

I think if you add up the total distance of the shots associated with Burke’s 19 goals, it would be less than 60 feet. (Oops 18.28 meters).

Finally reach the halfway point tomorrow. Been a pretty solid 1st half, especially considering all their injuries. Be the 7th meeting with Flint already. Won't meet them again until the family day game. Sometimes in these last games before the break they tend to be rather lifeless/flat because the players are excited to get home for the first time in awhile.

While understandable it would be a great way to finish strong beating them in their barn & finish winning 2 in a row & 3 of 4. Hopefully, Surzycia is his good version & gives us a solid start like he did last week in FLT & we can finish strong & come out of the break with almost our entire roster intact (outside WJCs) for the first time since opening night.

I'm shocked how quiet FLT, OTT, WSR, OS have been. It's not an overly big market of players this year. Some teams are gonna be left with very little to choose from.

Clarke, Wright's pending return makes everything tougher too. Assume BAR adds if Clarke is back & sells if he isnt, KGN probably sells (already are)

MISS just added a ton of picks & might add with them. Let's hope the east teams strike & leave very little for the other western teams lol

Not to mention KIT has decided to add & I doubt they're done. They probably still have 2-3 moves left.

I think OS feel like a run in the next two seasons better suits their roster

The 3rd or 4th time? Papais for sure. That was a waste for Niagara to begin with. Zito brought back a positive net return. Are you counting the potential movement of the other OAs as the other 2-3?
Sirrizotti brought in by former management moved for OA reasons next sason could be considered a net loss. The best offer was 3 & 8, that is his worth.

On paper, yes. Are we looking? 100% after the Pastujov/Kyrou trades.

Coming back to the whole injury thing here because the reality is we have yet to see how Sarnia truly stacks up to our division rivals with a full, or at least close to full line up. People can say "injuries happen to everyone" all they want, but the extent of them and who they have happened to and continue to happen to, are all fairly important members to this teams desired success. The success becomes harder to obtain when they are sidelined, obviously.

I would best describe Sarnia as a "dark horse" heading into the 2nd half. We have seen flashes of dominance at times, but the inconsistency of a healthy line up has hindered this teams record in my opinion. The poor history of this franchise also cannot be ignored either, along with it's #7 overall goaltender struggling out the gate. Put all that together and you got a team that will either be really good based off true potential and a healthy line up, or just another disappointing year in Sarnia. Still need that last top 6 spot filled though, that will be key for all this.

I agree with the above comments. As well, Saginaw is focusing on building a team for their memorial cup bid for next year. I believe that they want to be the best they can be this year but their real focus is their ‘23-24 team.
